A photo of the underside is always useful for IDing. Are the gills free, attached, decurrent?

Of course it's a cube ! Look at this excellent pic, can't you see the gills and the purplish/black spores on the ground ? Look at the meaty white stem and the ring, the cap has "cubensis" writen on it, can't you fucking see it ? And what about the umbo ? It's almost pointy ! This guy has a perfect cubensis specimen and you can't ID it ! He was about to loose the most excitting trip of his life with this mushroom and you didn't help him !
On the other hand, i think we have some new assholes in town.

Hey Gumby, i don't know if you got that one, but i was being sarcastic. In no way i would identify that pic as a cube.

I know what you mean. My last comment above is sarcasm, but who knows how it will be taken? A couple genera I'm pretty sure that mushroom isn't are Stropharia, Panaeolus, or Psilocybe. Given the description of white gills and no annulus plus the photo a guess might be Clitocybe or Hygrophorus. And those genera are rife with pupil-dilating members - not. If he's unlucky it might be one of the muscarine containing Clitocybes, which would make for a memorable evening. I'm waiting for a trip report that makes it sound like the best psilocybin containing mushroom ever eaten.

Colors look right, but the demensions are all wrong. Weres that nipple? No veil, and white gills? ehhmm. At first glance I htought it could been a cube however

This types of mushrooms are very hard to identify. The description of gills would help.

My guess is marasmius.
