I agree with this. However I really don't know for sure where I'm actually at with death even though I work on this concept a lot. If it was knocking at the door I might welcome it in or freak out totally no matter what I think in the calm light of my computer.(actually your computer)

Someone appeared in a dream last night and said this "Life is death and death is life".
Strange. I hardly thought about this subject either. I dunno how to take that, so I won't make any assumptions.

You know it's quite uncanny. Have you ever seen someone go from cancer? From what I've seen with family members by the time it's thru with them, they calmly face their death. It's like they are so exhausted with their life they come to terms with death and are ok with it.

The circumstances of one's death may have a lot to do with how it is handled.

acceptance is bang on, although it is not neccesarily easy to totally accept this inevitability at all times during our life experience. acceptance is something to be cultivated over time through learning to flow with the present moment, rather than be consumed and identified with such thoughts and anxieties.

Honestly, I don't fear death.... I am going to live, I am going to die, I am looking forward to both.... However, I don't look forward to the possibility of a painful ending....
I look forward to seeing what happens (if anything at all), yet I also want to prolong life as long as possible.... As painful as it might sometimes be, experience itself is a fucking trip....!

I've been accepting of my future death for a few years now, although it may be just a front to myself. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, though.

Life contains a process... an inevitable process. Birth--->Death. I meditate on it and it helps me come to terms with it as does tripping actually. Accept death, but don't commit suicide. Life is a precious thing that should be savored for as long as possible. But when the time comes, I will accept and flow with it to make it one of the most enlightening experiences instead of fighting and fearing it. Plus the eternal and my spirit will always be there whereas my body won't...I know it is decaying matter. But so I don't leave on such a morbid note, Life is a beautiful thing, but whose to say the eternal (or whatever you want to call it) isn't even more beautiful, I doubt many of us have witnessed it, i look forward to that moment. Peace.

Woody Allen said he didn't fear death. He just didn't want to be there when it happened.
