Simple Clone Tek

It doesn't get any easier than this guys.
Try dropping a small, but promising pin, maybe from a clump, or branching off a large fruit, into a fresh grain jar.
You will be surprised how well it can work if you are clean and quick.
After the jar is 110% colonized, use it for G2G.

Does the pin want to continue to grow?

No, it will abort and dry up, but the myc at the base of the pin branches out quickly.
Try it man, it is an amazingly easy way to clone.

Well, cloning really should be done from the mature fruit. That way you know exactly what you are cloning. If you clone the biggest mature fruit, the genetic disposition is there for the clones to be just as big. Cloning a pin would keep you from knowing exactly what the fruit would look like when mature.
Otherwise, it's a good idea. Maybe transfer to agar?

True, true, but if I see a big clump of pins, it's safe to say that those genes are good enough for me brother man!
Like when several grow from one pin, well that's sweet for this tek, cause you could take our 5-10 pins, and drop them into quarts of rye, and have a great genetic line.
Maybe it's not quite an isolation on agar, but it's much easier, which is the point here.
But yes, you are right, maybe take the bottom off the largest fruit?
Little pins seem like less contam risk, but why not just cut a little tissue sample from a large fruit and drop it right into a jar.
Skips the LC step altogether.

That was gonna be my next question. How can you be sure the pin is going to be a quality fruit, something that you would want to clone? Which raises another question for me,- What would you look for in a shroom if you are wanting to clone?

Well, it definately would work. Espically taking from the healthiest patch of pins.
Agar isolation isn't really hard. It is actually easy as pie. Keeping sterile work environments is dificult though. Through agar iso, you can get THE best rhizo activity. Isolate several times and then transfer to grain or LC.
You are right on about being quick using a pin from fruiting myc. It would be a good way to get a lot of jars rolling quick.

Thanks bro!
"What would you look for in a shroom if you are wanting to clone?"
Size, potency, maybe aesthetic, whatever qualities you like, you clone.

You want to look for a good healthy fruit. I would say that differant people would want to clone differant types of specimens. Personal preference to a degree.

True man, true, but sometimes people forget about cloning from clumps because they only clone from large fruits.
If you clone from a pin in a large clump, you will get thicker pin sets.
If that pin happens to have good size genes, you get thick pin sets with large fruits.

so im getting a pf albino syringe. from my understanding since this is a multispore its not guaranteed that any or all of the shrooms that grow will be albino. With this tek i can take the first albino pin(s) and drop them into grain jars to have a 100% chance those jars will produce albino. a verry quick way to get started, 5 shrooms for you man. and for everyone else, once this works there will be clear prints going out.
