In need of stealth incubation

Hello, this is my first site on the forum. So far there is an overwhelming source of information. I search for "stealth incubation" and found nothing! I have seen many setups that use large storage boxes, but i'm afraid i couldn't hide something that big.
I live at home and have to deal with nosy parents. I'm looking to expiremnet with a small grow for myself. Anyhow where could i stealthily incubate my jars?
Places i have tried (Other beginners might want to): -Fridge (most give off hot air, mine does not) -Computer (most give off hot air, mine is blowing cold in the winter)
I cannot build a big fish tank incubator, its simply too large to hide. What can you guys suggest? Sorry if it has been posted, i have searched but haven't found something meeting my needs.

No need to incubate man, room temp is fine for the entire cycle.

Growing while living with your parents is extremely frowned on in these parts, please don't ask questions like this. LET THE FLAMING BEGIN!

Welcome to the Shroomery!
You dont need it to be 'hot'...just stick them somewhere dark and at room temp. Preferably a warmer spot in your house that stays at 70-78 degrees fariehiet. Again its not hard to hide them..cool temps only slow the colinization, and theyll do fine at room temps..(maybe not in winter) Incubaters speed the process up and assure you constant temps..but also can harbor contams.
Be carful about parents..if you get busted so do they. Dont tell anyone. And maybe you should make it public with your parents by gradually bringing up that your interested in mushrooms and may begin to cultivate them. then grow some oysters and learn. If you live with your parents there are lot of opprotunitys for them to stumble on your grow(sterilizing by boiling, incubation, fruiting, drying) Have fun

incubation isn't necessary, like daytripper said..
but yes i agree with cenebite, dont grow in your parents house. they will either end up beating your ass or kicking you out of the house or both.
do what i did...
wait til college

Things we need to consider: -My house quit cold right now (feel chilly/cold without my hoody, the shrooms wouldn't be loving this temp. -I haven't found a warm spot yet (any new suggestions?) -Waiting till college might not be the best idea. I would be dorming and growing shrooms in a dorm might not be the best idea, and a small dorm room might not be where i feel comfortable enough to trip. -About outdoor growing. Is now the time? Its winter, many days i'll go outside and will have to warm my car for 15 minutes because its iced over. (I havent even read up on how shrooms react with ice and freezing temps) -My rents wont be busted (i am not selling, i am having a small grow for personal usage).
Any comments or help? If you don't want to help, please dont waste your efforts flaming me. So far you've been kind, and textual insults are ineffective.

I dont live with my parents but my parents live round the corner so they always come round when im at work and talk to my girlfriend.
So i have a stealth incubator. I keep alot of reptiles (3 lizards and 2 snakes) so i have spare heat mats desined to run at 86 degrees and not be any form of fire hazard.
Wat i did was i got a bot 2ft tall by 1ft by 1ft wooden box with lid and half way down made a false floor, i then put the jars and heat mat down below the false floor and staked dvds ontop and closed the lid. My girlfriend didnt even know about it till i told her lol
Work perfect for me ill post pics tomoro

had the best trips of my life in a 'small dorm room' so dont knock it til you try it, buddy.
you've got a lot to learn yet as do i as does everyone.
best advice i can give you is get it ok'ed with your parents.. if they say no then dont do it.
if you are too much of a puss to ask them about it then dont grow in their house.
this is not a flame this is my reasoning of what you should do and what i would do if i was in your situation.

There is no chance they will say yes. I'm not knocking the dorm, but i feel like i wouldn't feel comfortable enough to do it in a dorm (or might get paranoid and have an awful trip).

you want to grow in your parents house without their permission? don't grow in someone else's house and don't grow on someone else's property.
said butt- s will you till your butt gets all . seriously thats not cool man don't put your parents and siblings at risk like that. move out on your own or experiment with edibles until you can. at least that way your curiosity is being satisfied even without the drugs. learning makes you feel good too a bit idealistic i know.
imo, for stealth, mex-a seems ideal but it requires a bit more advanced tek than pf tek. and pulling that off in a house with parents, and doing it stealthily, no way.
another option is to really learn to grow edibles. its something you could be proud of, and show your parents. they would be proud of you for learning something new, something that you find exciting. having a hobby is great. having a science for a hobby is even better.;) you never know what could develop and mutate in a sub

Outdoors is rather inconspicuous in my findings. as long as you have a place to put either hay, poo, or compost in a pile youll be ok for outdoors.

look at it this way folks: someone growing mushrooms in their home, even if it's their parents, is still more responsible than buying them from a dealer. growing in one's parents' home may not be ideal, but...well...whatever. You're never going to convince someone to not grow in a situation like this. No one did when I was a teenager growing in my parents' house. Except my situation was different, as I openly let them in on the fact that I was indeed growing mushrooms, but I also said they were "regular inedible mushrooms for taxidermy purposes."
Other than that I have nothing to say; I can't think of any other incubation methods that might be of help to you.

Which indicates you not only have poor judgement by going behind your parents backs in their house, but are underage to be on this site. If you actually are over 18, you can fill out a support ticket and provide legal proof of age to the admins and they'll overturn my ban. RR
