50/50+ vs MG MC ?

I've always been a 50/50 + guy in the past (with success) but was thinking about trying MG MC as every thing's already mixed together.
Has anyone compared the two? Also, it seems like once I heard of someone using MG MC right out of the bag w/ out PC'ing it ?? Has anyone had success with that method? (it would save yet another step in the process)
As always, the wealth of wisdom is appreciated.
Cheers,
Tripple M

i used mgmc on some crumbled cakes right out of the bag and had pretty good fruits for about a month.
I plan on using it again

I tend to get the mean green if I don't atleast pasteurize mgmc. I have used it more than the 50/50 and I seem to get about the same pinset either way.

I dont know why people think MGMC is so special. It's just some peat moss with perlite in it. There is no verm, thus 50/50+ is superior for cubensis.

I pasteurize my MGMC. That drastically reduces contaminations, mushroom nats, and their larva.

Pasteurization is a must! I do 140-165 for two hours man, well worth it bro.
Case with peat/verm, add 5% gypsum, 5% oyster, 2.5% hylime.
1 quart Peat 1 quart Verm 1/2 Cup Gypsum 1/2 Cup Oyster 1/4 Cup HyLime

I forgot to address this part of the post. Please do not skip the pasteurization step. Taking shortcuts like this will not save you time or money. It will cost you more. I pasteurize ALL of my bulk substrate and ALL of my casing mix. The only thing that is sterilized is grain. Nothing is used 'straight out of the bag'
