Music or Silence?

Which is your preference when you are tripping? Music or Silence? I'm mostly music.
For those of you that take the silent route, are close-eyed visuals more prevalent?

I find the calm, almost silent sounds of nature to be the best.

They both have their benefits and drawbacks.
Silence is good because music can be an external guild to an experience. You may not want an outside force controlling your trip. On the other hand, when Ive experimented with sensory deprivation the only audible element I got was some strange dream like echo thing. Nothing significant added. But it was all from me.
Music can be good because, like I stated above, it can be an external guild to an experience. The right music can set you mind on psychedelic fire.

I agree with that brother. I find the advantage of music is that it takes me places I otherwise would not go, but at the same time, it's limitation lies in the point that the experience is controlled by the sound and it's mood, tempo, rhythm, etc.
With silence, the mind is free to roam where it may and that's where its advantage lies.
I should incorporate silence into my tripping. It's just too temping to listen to some good music though.

I also think nature sounds might be wildly awesome. I might have to hear the crickets this summer.

On time I was trippin' balls out in the woods on a cloudly night.
I ate my 'shrooms, shut my eyes and layed down.
I began to feel the 'shrooms coming on so I sat up...
I was amazed to find I was surrounded by lighting bugs!
1000s of Lighting Bugs!!!
I chased them through the mist...
In my entheogenic ecstasy I ran to the creek and jumped into the clear cool water...
I've never tripped harder than that night.
