I just call them fruiting bodies of fungi which are a container for psilocybin and psilocin.

Oh yea, well I think Im going to start calling them "fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source that contain the controlled substances psilocybin and psilocin, which are psychedelic alkaloid of the tryptamine family."

It's interesting to read how one word affects you guys so much. I'd have to go out on a limb and say you guys aren't at peace with yourselves.

Also makes me think you guys don't have lives to be spending your weekend flaming a post. Weekends are short enough as it is.

Finally, Goomba is sick.

We're at peace, just making the point that 'goomz' is a stupid word.

I liked the idea that 'gooming' should refer to plugging shrooms...

Why is this such a big deal to anyone? It's a word, it means the exact same thing as mushroom. It's not like it has any deeper meaning other than what you give it. It's not offensive, annoying, childish, stupid or anything by nature, it's just a fucking word and that is it. Anything else you attach to it, you gave it.

It's just a word...and it's just a STUPID word. I'm sorry, there's just no reason to call em goomz when we have perfectly good mushrooms monikers already.

it stems from the latin word goombas which refers to a mythical being from the ancient religious text of the super mario brothers, a "goomba" was a mushroom that would walk and try to harm the mario brothers for the glory of the evil lord bowser. They could be destroyed by jumping on there heads or "caps" or throwing a fireball or turtle shell at them.

Taking mushrooms is a serious thing...

You don't go round eating them like...."goomz"!

So, I was thinking about why I used the term, and when I first heard it. I had the same reaction as you guys did, I thought it was stupid.

Anyways, I make frequent calls about substances-so the more confusing the name, the safer I feel. I call X- beans. I call shrooms- goomz, and I call coke "the old lady"

I've been using those terms for years now. Makes me feel safe-okay, so it sounds stupid, but I get the peace of mind that if my call IS being traced, I'm not as fucked as if I said coke, shrooms,E.

I'm sure they do know the terminology, but goomz seems to me like it raises less of a red flag than magic mushrooms or shrooms.

Anyways, who the FUCK gives a shit?
