I agree. Great music. Great bunch of guys. I am partial to Bloody Kisses and before but the newer stuff is good too.. just maybe a bit more commercial. You still have to see them live.. awesome show and they don't have to put out the pyro and fancy shit to impress.

October Rust is one of the most amazing albums ive ever heard.
awesome awesome songs.. ive never heard such brilliant songcraft. 'love you to death' and 'wolf moon' are just incredibly beautiful. they have a way of mixing up sex, nature, and gothic darkness into this really euphoric result.
Life is Killing Me is great too start to finish. perfect album for a shitty mood.

Don't forget about Origin of the Feces. Paranoid makes for a killer Type O cover.

i never got into their hardcore older stuff.
Dead Again is really weird. Some fucked up rhythms and guitar noise that sound like huge industrial machines. Their melodic songy stuff is sort of few and farther between. I don't know, I've always liked their poppy sounding songs... there is some sort of humor about it, like their albums are one big joke anyways.

they do have some humerous songs, such as angry inch. however for the most part i think its great tunes. they have a lot of songs great for sex background music too.

The self-depricating humor did them a lot of good for sure.

Holy shit, I forgot how much I loved that song!
My buddy & I used to tweak on the weekends back in college (yeah, I know...don't wanna hear it) and listen to Bloody Kisses while we played Risk on my Sega all night long. Good times, good memories there.
I've been trying to find some new music to download - thanks for reminding me about them.

Tweaking and Type O? Those two don't seem like they'd go well together.

Eh...my friend & I have some weird taste in music. There used to be a radio station in our town that played 70s music with no commercials all night long, so we started out listening to that on our tweaker weekends. Type O Negative's version of Summer Breeze just seemed to fit in well with our vibe.
And Christian Woman & Black #1 are a couple of great fucking songs no matter what the situation.

Well what about the original Bloody Kisses cover that was a huge close up of Pete's asshole?
That was pretty disturbing as well.

i remember reading some interview where they asked Peter Steele what he thought about touring in the U.S. or something and he says something like 'I hate this fucking country, I'm only playing music so I can save up enough money for me and my family to move far away.'
that was always really funny to me for some reason

T.O.N. is probably my favorite band to listen to, period. They just have all the elements that make a great band. Plus, it is hard to find something that even really sounds like them, not unless you count black sabbath.

Fuckin' right, Type-O. I saw them in Detroit for Halloween this year-- best Type O show I've seen, they were right there in the mood. It was a weird one for sure though (a medley including "Dear Prudence"?)
Get yourself a copy of the "After Dark" DVD. It's hilarious. A combination of live footage, backstage\on tour banter and silliness, and all their music videos to date with the band telling stories and giving commentary. Thoroughly enjoyable.
