Staying grounded and some thoughts.

I realize lately i've been thinking thoughts and labeling things that will keep me satisfied for future reference. I may change my mind one day but for now i'm going to keep these things concrete.
First i'd like to say that whatever created us, or the creation itself, was there at the beginning and always will be the beginning, nothing came before for it has always been there.
Next was on a topic I discussed with Clickety in Shroomery Chat... It was about Random Mutations that altered us to become what we are today. I'd like to point out that I don't believe in this so random sequincing of things. I'm for "Selected" mutations... If we are smart and so are genetic make-up, it in itself is the true genius behind the mask. I think due to external stimulations those that survive are weeded out because of their genetic make-up. In the whole genetic change that occurs is by no way Random, but chosen from the many/few options it has
What do you think?
Peace, Droz

The mutations are quite random, and they can result in a number of other random things. You can have no change at all, as a result of a mutation. You can also have a loss of function, which means something is now broken. You could also have some type of gain of function, which is what i think you are thinking of - some mutation that makes an organism more fit for its environment.
It is very random, and how certain organisms survive, and populations change is through selection. Organisms environments determine who is best suited to survive, and then they will reproduce, passing on the mutation.

that your mind is made up, Droz, I aggree, I can't blame you for ceasing to question the origin of all things, as this question is beyond us in many ways. it is sensible to drop the question, respectfully, a sweet dropping of a task that is not for us to mangle or twist with our insufficiencies. However, strong evidence indicates that mutation is and has been random, unguided, in fact it is not actually anything except chemical mistakes - radiation side effects and occasional viability. the term mutation cannot be taken as intended or intelligent, or it would be a different term, possibly "adjustment". this issue you can study more, it is not connected to the issue of origin of all things. it is related to the interaction of all things in a system, all things. when we think of guiding and intelligence, we think of a principle that guides the other parts, as opposed to the particles within the totality simply continuing with their ongoing tragectories without skipping any stages.
