So you rather force an entire local population that share the consensus that abortion is murder to conform to your beliefs rather than have a woman who consciously made the decision to have sex while within a state that does not allow abortion to have to take a bus out of state.
Personally I think abortion is abhorrent but it should be legal. However it is an issue that you will never be able to convince the two opposite sides to agree on. That's why it would be best in my opinion that government reflect the majority of those on the local level.
Stossel:"You want a 700-mile fence between our border and Mexico?"
Ron Paul: "Not really. There was an immigration bill that had a fence (requirement) in it, but it was to attack amnesty. I don't like amnesty. So I voted for that bill, but I didn't like the fence. I don't think the fence can solve a problem. I find it rather offensive."
He has continually said that illegal immigrants are the scapegoats but it is the subsidies and government hand outs that cause the problem.
You have said that your not comfortable that he gets support from KKK organisations... That is an ad hominem / formal falacy argument.
Person A makes claim X There is something objectionable about Person A Therefore claim X is false
That's like saying: Hitler was for abortion for non-Aryan women, eugenics, euthanasia Hitler was a sick murdering despot. Therefore abortion, eugenics, euthanasia is wrong.
You can't control what other people do that might agree with certain aspects of what you believe.
If you had ever actually heard Ron Paul or seen video of him talk like someone did in those letters that would be one thing, but the fact is no one has ever heard him talk like that. Even the president of the local NAACP in Austin, TX said he met Ron Paul 20 years ago and knew he was not a racist. How easy would it be for someone to write something you disagree with in your name in this day in age?

"That being said - Dennis Kusinich wanted 'real change' and thats why he can never be elected. "
Suppose Ron Paul is a racist. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are friends. Thus Dennis Kucinich is a racist.

No it won't. The people you mention are corrupt greedy hypocrites. The best kind of politician IMO. The ones who really fuck things up for the world are the ones with a mission to reform it.
Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot all wanted to make this world a better place.

While I agree with the opinion that men shouldn't have as much a say in the issue of abortion, I think there are other important things to be considered when deciding on a presidential candidate.

Haven't read the rest of the thread yet... but... this is what's wrong with America, right here.

absolutely - the original point was why I didn't like RP- his abortion views are just 1 of several issues i disagree with. and his party affiliation.

Fuck party affiliation! That's another huge problem... we're essentially a bipartisan mess. Why can't people realize it's okay to think outside of the box? Oh... I remember now... because humans are narrow-minded and very few really want change (something RP represents for us).
The above point about Hitler and others wanting a better world...
Stagnancy is our worst enemy... and when you stagnate on a railroad track waiting for the inevitable train to hit you, that's when you need to get smart and fucking move.
Just my $0.02.
