I'm watching it now. How did Oliver North receive no kickback for helping the Contras import cocaine?

I just watched it. It was great. It was directed by Kevin Booth, who was Bill Hicks' best friend. I thought that it was pretty entertaining.

It's easy to understand why hallucinogens are banned. People who want to get into it read Huxley and become thought criminals.

"drug prohibition ...for cocaine was basically passed in order to protect white women from black males. History will document this." James P. Grey 13 minutes.
"Sgt. Lou Daggel receives a call about a naked guy walking into a restaurant and putting ice up his butt" 39:50
"we actually saw that here in 1986 with major task force investigations of freeway Ricky Ross they had a search warrant for 19 locations that were prepared one night and by the time they got there the next morning...all 16 locations had been cleared out." Mike Ruppert 56:10
"By the way the head of the DEA his name is Rob Bonner he's a friend of mine...throughout the first George Bush administration said ...documented... that yes the CIA was involved with the importation of a fair amount of cocaine...uh..with regard to the intermittent contra etcetera...but it just has to happen because of the money." James P. Grey 1 hour 1 minute
"Let's jump over to General Manuel Noreaga in Panama. General Noreaga was told by Bill Casey...then director of the central intelligence agency that he could have a free run of drugs into America provided that he allowed us to support the Contras in Panama. That was a straight up deal." Robert Steele Clandestine CIA Officer 1:02:13
John Kerry! 1:04:25
"This was an off the books operation. This was an operation that was specifically forbidden by the US Congress and drugs were used ...together with Saudi Arabian contributions also off the books...drugs were used by the CIA to carry out a covert action that had been forbidden by congress." Robert Steele 1:04:45
Thanks for sharing this, I'll post more later...

BTW... Isn't it *funny* that this isn't getting a bigger reaction even considering the website we are at and the importance of this issue? Edit: This isn't just a Drug Legalization issue...it's a government corruption issue.
On a seperate note... I sometimes wonder about some of the posters on this forum.

How could you be so staunchly Republican and frequent this site? Don't you agree the Republicans are the main force behind the keeping 'drugs' illegal?

"It's very important for the American taxpayer to understand that Afghanistan was producing virtually no heroin under the Taliban and is now responsible for 80% of the heroin coming to the United States and the western countries." Robert Steele(?) CIA 1:13:43
"The Patriot Act defends our liberty is what it does! under the constitution of the united States!" G.W. Bush
"Isn't it the ultimate irony that uh..perhaps the modern day Al Capone...Osama Bin Laden exists because..potentially because of the fact that he is a drug kingpin?...it's prohibition that may have led to the actual destruction of the Twin Towers in New York." Gary Johnson Former Governor of New Mexico? 1:16:30
"We support 44 dictators, we support drugs, we support the president of Afghanistan who's brother is the biggest drug lord in Afghanistan. We support the president of Pakistan who is the one who profits." Robert Steele
"When you have a government that promotes drugs...to get their agendas across..in Central American in South America in South East Asia in South West Asia and then puts it's own people in jail for using them are you really living in a free country?" Joe Pietri Ex-Smuggler
"75% of Americans polled support Medical Marijuana" 1:27
"The people in Washington realized that 85% of all people in The United States of America today who used any form of illicit drugs use only marijuana." James P. Grey
I can't even quote any more...the whole last twenty ...thirty minutes are ...undescribable. I feel sad and weirdly optimistic at the same time. Thanks again. There's mushroom information in there too.

pretty much everyone here agrees that drugs should be legalized. I don't know anyone who doesn't, you're preaching to the choir, which is probably why you haven't gotten a huge response.
Make a post advocating Kucinich for president and see the response.
And no, I don't view prohibition as a result of any one party, though I will say the republicans seem to attempt to jump on the supposedly-moral high horse more often w/ drugs, and pass things like 50 year mandatory minimums.
I'm not aware of any democrat prominent at a state or higher level who advocates drug legalization.
Party politics isn' tth eproblem.
Neither is big pharma.
Neither is the conspiracy against the blacks in L.A.
Believe it or not, which plenty here seem not to, people actually agree with drug prohibition... That IS why it exists.

heh. Anyways, haven't we done this before? http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/7882223/page/0/fpart/1/vc/1
But seriously, have you seen this movie? It's far deeper than just Drug Decriminalization.

no, I haven't seen it, but I'd be pleasantly (or unpleasantly) surprised if it covered any new ground
Its important people know about this stuff, but it doesn't hit the root issue generally: that people have the right to their own bodies and transactions, and its immorall to put someone in jail because of it
usually these videos/articles focus on side issues, like the coruption and wasted resources
So what? Government corruption isn't as large of a problem in today's america as is the incarceration of drug offenders. The right to liberty outweighs the right to have every cent spent as legislated, imo

It hits that..check out the last twenty minutes..they go into Ritualistic Drug Usage. An in depth exploration of Amsterdam and the drug users over there. It really hits a lot of different angles. But you're right..the first half contains a lot of Iran Contra and how those people are now back in power. etc. I loved it. I'm gonna actually buy a copy.
PCP. "Ears and Titties. Momma said titties gotta squeeze themselves." Yea, he was a trip.
