Just saw and heard Parabola by Tool!!!...It blew me away 
The video is exellent (great to see Tricky doing his thing), I especially liked the ending when after seeing how weak the flesh really is he understands impermenance symbolised in the ageing golden leaf and then experiences a full blown awakening complete with alex grey's universal mind lattice...shit!
I've got to go and watch/listen again...phew.

yeah man I like the beginning and the end my self. The middle with the baloon thingy kinda lacks IMHO, but the Alex Grey stuf is simply amazing. The music timing in the alex stuff is perfect. I'm glad I taped that one but the Uranium shit in the edges kinda sucks. That show has some good stuff but the excessive sidebar annoyance really blows

Yes the synchronisation is perfect but I have to disagree with you about the "ballon thingy". The way I saw it it represented the ageing of a cell so the little grey man died of old age not by being assulted by a ballon! Tricky becomes enlightened before death (the dividing cell) can catch up with him.
But theres alot more that I still don't understand...

The 3 guys at the start the "agents" come with the apple (the christian belief of begining I guess) along with the star of David and the 1 candle (1 light) light which I think represents monotheastic (sp?) ideals. They then proceed to defile the idea of the perfect circle (the wheel of life/Dharma) with their mouths. Controversial!? Thats my interpretation anyway.

Its truly awesome. All of Tools work is beyond decription, it it utterly amazing. I love all of their videos, and in "Parabola", the work of Alex Grey truly finished it off. The end is so fuckin' good. Have any of you seen them live on the Lateralus tour? I saw them last October and the show was like nothing I've ever experienced in my life. The visuals on the screen behind the group are so perfectly synchronized with the music!!! And the contortionists came out..that was the SHIT!!
I have tickets to see them in 19 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen them live nor do I own any of their albums (yet!). Don't no when they will be touring in the uk but I'm down, definitely!

Man you have to see their other videos! Have you seen Schism at least? They've got seven videos and they're all good. I got into Tool when I saw the Sober video. Blew me away. I almost cried.

Toolband is the official site but Toolshed is better and updated more often. It has the videos too. Try and get the highest quality vids you can find, some of them are so small they don't do them justice. have fun!

Actually toolband.com has been much better than toolshed lately due to the fact that there is a lot of news posting about the band at the official site thesedays. There is also a monthly interesting newsletter released on the toolband news page aswell.
I saw them live.. I saw parabola live.. it was amazing. Parabola IMHO is their best video yet. Certainly the one you want to see when you're prying open that third eye of yours
