First off, Hi all long time troller....first time poster

I had two successful runs so far...one brf...one rye grain

This last time i think i messed up tho....i innoc'd the jars exactly 6 hours after PCing....the jars where still slightly warm to the touch.. so its pretty much a sure thing they are done for right? I mean...ill give em a week or two to see if anything happens...but...im not that hopefull

you're straight. it needs to be pretty damn hot to kill the spores off. 6 hours is plenty of time. don't worry about it.

wow...i realliy thought i was gonna get different responses....
awesome!....

Im doin rye grain to coco coir/vermiculite with lime and oystershell mixed in....

i have a martha fruiting chamber...

last run i did alright.....i had three pans forget the yield but im going for much more this time...i also didnt use the lime or oyster shell and i used aluminum cake pans this time plastic tupperware black out...

R311ik-I took off the rocker immediately and let them sit in the PC...

Three questions...how big should i be aiming for my tupperware to be and how thick should i make my substrate layer

Also i doint think the electronic temp/humidity gauges i use around the house will be accurate in such constant high humidity...what type should i be looking for....and i should be aiming for 100% right?

I make syringes about 1 hour after they come out of the PCer. They are still warm to the touch, work fine.

I doesn't matter how big your tupperware is, but if you go really big and it gets contaminated, you're fucked. Ideal substrate depth is ~4-5 inches. About your hygrometer, there a tons of analog ones at (I think) Sporeworks and MycoSupply. Those may work better for you that what you have at home.
