1/2 Pint Cakes that wont pin

I have (6) 1/2 pint cakes and an uncased tray of PES Hawaiians that have been in the terrarium for 4 days (94 hours to be exact) and the only thing I?ve noticed is a little bit of mycelium fuzz on my uncased tray. Nothing on the cakes. Im thinking I should dunk them because they were incubating for 24 days. Im guessing the cakes absorbed all the water. Should I dunk them even though they?ve been ?fruiting? for 4 days? Or should I take another approach? Feedback appreciated.
I should also add that humidity has been 95% and temp has been 74-78 degrees. I hand mist with a water bottle as well to add air exchange and humidity.

Yes, they were 100% colonized. I even kept them incubating for a few days longer to make sure a good network had been established. I just recently started new strains and in the past I usually would have pins by now. Would dunkiing hurt them? I was thinking about dunking one of the cakes just to experiment.

Just have patience... if you wait they will come. Yeah dunking them for 12-24 hours is very good idea. Just boil some water for 5-10 mins let it cool stick them in there and use somthing to hold them down. Do this before every flush and you will shit your pants when you see the results.

patience is a virtue that is needed for mushroom growing and cakes love their 12-24 hour baths

just reiterating what everyone else has said.... patience . a lot of growers lose to contams because of poking, proding, misting, dunking, etc when they're fine just the way they are. if i were you, from what i'm looking at, i'd give it another couple of days, and dunk overnight (and cold shock) if there are still no signs of life. good luck! -b

i'd like to point out that cold shocking psilocybe cubensis is pointless. In some strains it helps fruiting but not in psilocybe cubensis. if your cakes fruited in 4 days I would consider that fast pinning. I give it 7 to 10 days for equador. If after 14 days you see no signs of pinning I would be worried but 4 days is nothing to worry about.

Everyone mentioned dunking, so I think I should ask this dunking question here. I hear that a good mix of H2O and H2O2 is best, but about how much of each? And would it make sense to dunk cakes, before cumbling them up for a casing, or just go straight from the jar to casing?
Thanks, and sorry for stealing your thread for a second.....

dunking is only done to rehydrate dry cakes. if you're crumbling the cake up to case it, it's not necessary to dunk. just make sure humidity and water levels inside fruiting chamber is sufficient, and you should be fine. -b
