Galaxies
    #793154 - 08/02/02 07:20 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

I have finally given in to my obsession with galaxies, and started making a new flash vid. Go to my site and look for the Observatory in the forest... www.elftrance.com.

Also, be sure to play with the new Shaman Monkey who sits in the bottom-right corner! He is cool, and has magic abilities. =)

ElfTrance is the shit...you just can't beat spaced out monkeys and dancing aliens.

Quick word of advice though: vague posts linking to sites with multi-media have a way of finding their way to OTD real quick (I know from experience) You might want to explain why this post fits in here, cause it won't last long if you don't. ..... Well, I suppose technically it probably won't last long even if you do (Shroomism has been cursed with a modem, so anything he can't enjoy winds up being dumped...or at least so it seems) But hey, maybe if you make a strong enough case he'll be merciful.

worry not!

Shroomism is hip to the monkeys! At last check, he loved the elves and aliens too.... everything is coooool.

Besides, do you not consider a GALAXY worthy of spiritual consideration? Personally when I see a picture of a galaxy I can imagine that it is the face of the Ultimate. I mean, you really don't get much bigger than a galaxy.

Cool Site.

(humble bow) Thanks guys. I appreciate the appreciation. I am sometimes very pleased that I can make stuff that is *really* great to watch when high. And then I get happy when I know other people are similarly benefitting.

(insert tears of shared love and experience... sniff...)

And to answer the question of how long it took: whole thing in just under 2 years. However I have been "self-unemployed" for most of that time, so I've had my share of free time.

anyway... I can't wait to finish Galaxy Class. I'm thinking up a cool plot that I just need to try out. Lots more monkeys & galaxies. It'll kick ass.

hey, thanks for the link. That was a really good thread (yes, very McKenna-esque)

regarding McKenna, although his mushroom/mankind theory is very cool, I am more interested in some of the other topics he pursued. Such as his analysis of where the future is headed (towards the Transcendental Object at the End of Time). I also love McKenna's humourous style of cultural analysis.

I only really got into McKenna soon after he died. He gave some brilliant lectures.
