in the bag
about a month after getting it i openened it up and started to mist, the humidity tent that came with it sucked so i put it in a FC that i already had set up
 about 4 days later
they look alot like the F+,lol
 1-2 more days
day of harvest veils are tearing, Is the brown on them normal? ive never grown these before
this also concerns me, is it normal?

2 of them were like that and another had a weird looking orange jelly on the cap, i couldent get a good pic though i left a few small ones on there to grow for another day or so
 harvest
 taking prints

anyone have a good recipe? are they good if dryed?

Stir fry them while fresh. My p nameko tends to make smaller, but more plentiful fruits. These were grown on supplemented sawdust-woochips. Mine didn't fruit until they had a good week of cold temperatures almost to freezing.
I'm not sure what the brown spots are, but they don't look bad. P nameko spores are brown, but that doesn't look like spores on the caps. RR

those tents from fp do suck ass. One would think that they would provide something that actually worked. Anyways i have to go. I need to figure out a way to save up $500 so i can have fp clone a wild mushroom for me and provide me with 2 bags of spawn.

yeah and they charge 500$ for it. Shit I picked a mushroom cloned it and produced a shit load of spawn all for under 20$. I think that i will get into the mushrooms cloning business and only charge 250$

On the other hand, I've often gone through sleeve after sleeve of petri dishes trying to clean up and isolate wild strains. Wild mushrooms often have various molds and bacteria living within the cells of the fruits themselves. Thus, no matter how clean or careful you are, your cloned tissue might have several types of mycelium, and more than that many species of bacteria, yeasts, and sometimes virus.
If you have a fairly fresh fruit from an awesome outdoor strain, send it to me, and I'll clone it for the price of keeping a culture for myself. Make sure it's a good one though. I'll walk past literally thousands of mushrooms, looking for the one special fruit to clone. RR

Puffballs are mycorrhizal, thus need to have a symbiotic relationship with certain types of tree roots. It's not something you can grow at home in an FC to the best of my knowledge. RR

If you chill the mushroom down and insulate the package, it'll last 2-3 days time-in-transit.

Nameko should be eaten fresh. I've never tried drying them. RR

ok im back w/ the nameko the log is still going
from the prints i took i streaked them on 5 MEA dishes
i took transfers from the 2 dishes with blue circles they showed nice signs of growth so i transfered immediantly i took 3 transfers from each dish so i called set A
 and set B
transfers were taken from where the blue cicles are.
unfortunatly i am out of dishes to keep transfering the sectors so they are all going to grain
ill update again once i inoculate jars
