If you could plan someones first trip...

First, a slight back story here. I've been around the psychedelic block myself, but mostly in my late teens/early 20's. My wife of 5 years, was always the "good girl". Never so much as smoked a joint, ever! She's drank with me, tho comparing drinking to tripping is like comparing apples to dogs. I've convinced her to try some shrooms with me. I told her that it was fun, and she might just learn something from it all. She has enough trust in me that if I say so, then it's at least worth a try/not harmful.
After several attempts at growing shrooms, I've finally got a sufficient quantity as well as time off work for both of us to have a nice healthy trip. Well, like not Right now...less than 5 days from now tho.
But I've begun to wonder.....do I need to actually have a plan as far as "what we're doing", or just kinda....improvise. Obviously the first things I'm gonna do is wait for her to get a good trip going, then take her to the mall, the local bars, all the most populated, loud, unfriendly places I can find, followed by a visit to the local police station, where we'll just sit there looking dumb for a while. That should be fun for everyone, right?
Sarcasm aside, current "plan" is mostly sitting at the house, playing with the PS2, and watching the TV. But given the chance to actually plan and guide someone's first real experience, I feel like I should at least try to come up with something more...I dunno...fun? This will surely be something memorable and like...profound...so maybe chillin on the couch as usual is not the best way to spend it?
What would any of you do? Any fun things that might be of interest? I'm trying to make this as pleasant an experience as possible, ideally with an outcome something like "That was fucking awesome!! Grow lots more!!"....not "That sucked and you can't grow that anymore!" I dunno...I'm prolly over-thinking it... =)

keep a few magic-eye books around. personally i'm more into the mental tripping, but my first few times i was more amazed at the visuals, and the magic-eye book definately did it for me! maybe keep some paper and pencils and markers out, going outside is a great idea assuming your neighborhood is good for that. personally my neighbors would wonder what i'm doing talking to their bushes...

I would recommend some music. Put together a nice long playlist of good songs before you dose. I love to listen to music while trippin. I'm sure many would agree. I was surprised that no one else mentioned it. Being outside is probably the best idea though. Just make sure you are in a safe place. You could easily burn a few hours just looking at the sky or some trees (at least I could). Anyway, happy shroomin!

Nice thread revival. I wonder how the trip went (I'm sure it's been done)

I'd say go outside, but not somewhere where things could go bad. Like what was said before, have blankets, pillows, and comfy things to be around while inside! Is one of you (or both of you) musicians? If so, write some music!

Great ideas everyone! Thanks!
And no, the trip has not ben done yet, the actual date and time scheduled being 11 PM central, January 30. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it went and (mostly) what we did =)
No musicians in the household...I'm a chef, but somehow I don't see cooking and tripping as being a great idea...hehee!

Music is essential... Finding Nemo is a good movie for the visuals lots of bright colors... Just do things that bring out the creative side of both of you. Me and my girl have only tripped on acid together but i found that on the come down being intimate is a very nice was to spend that period. Regardless of what you do make sure you always stay in a controlled environment especially with a first timer. Anyways have fun and happy tripping

Weather permitting, go outside for sure, go take a long walk, go to a park, or whatever is available for you.
Indoors, time the trip so you aren't going to be up all night. Dim the lights, light some candles, put on some good music, remove clothing, enjoy yourself!
How big of a dose are you going to give her? If it's a low dose (1 or 2 grams), just casual settings would probably suffice. normal couch lounging wouldn't be such a bad idea. But if it's a 3+ gram dose, i would prepare a comfortable area in a common room (living room or bedroom) for you guys to utilize if needed as the trip gets more intense and you start to peak.
For me, 3-4 gram doses usually start out in a casual setting, but by the time the peak is reached, i'm usually rolling around in my bed losing my mind, lol. Whoever is with me (sitter) usually ingests 1 or 1.5 grams, so they can still cater to my needs, but still be in that mindframe to connect with each other.
Just hope for the best, and be prepared for the worst, she may freak all out on you, so don't trip to hard yourself! lol

I'm not sure about the weather/environment at your locale, but I can't think of anything better than a moonlit beach. Regardless of location, I think the most important thing is to not force it. If the two of you are a little at odds over something, you may want to reschedule. Also, being that it's her first one and she trusts you immensely, the both of you may want to dose fairly lightly. Just go for that "Everything's so beautiful!!!" thing, you know? I'm no expert in this field, and you should always do what feels best to you, but one thing that springs to mind is to make the preparation and dosing as unceremonious as possible so as to not make her nervous. You know, crack little jokes and all that. Just don't make it seem like too big of a deal. And like enesi said, you should be in a good enough state of mind to take care of her if she starts to worry. Good luck! Let us know how it goes..

I would set up a tent...
Out in the woods.
Fill it full of blankets and pillows.
Collect a lot of wood.
Build a fire and take your 'shrooms about an hour before sundown.
As the last rays of Sun sink below the trees...you'll start trippin'.

Well, being as its a bit cold here, especially at 11 PM, which is when I've got this planned, outside may or may not be the best idea, I'll have to kinna feel that one out.
As far as dosing goes, I don't know exactly how much I've got. I sold my triple beam scale nearly 8 years ago =/ What I do know is that I've got 5 pretty large shrooms (the largest being just over 9 inches). I'm guessing that would be sufficient for the two of us. We're just gonna split all of them in half evenly. Memory says that should be enough, but not too much.
About how many dry grams Would 5 pretty large shrooms come out to be? Obviously theres no way to be certain without a scale, if I had to throw a number out I'd guess at least 4 grams total.
As far as being up all nite, we're both off work the next day, and don't really have anything else to do, so thats not really a concern. We're kinda nitecrawlers anyways, we work nites, largely by choice, so yeah, being up past dawn is nothing new.... Hrmmm, maybe we can go watch the sunrise somewhere...thats always cool... =)
And I'm actually not that worried about her freaking out, I'm really pretty skilled with calming techinques, as well as a moderate amount of hypnosis. I've walked a few people thru some very bad experiences, with great results.
About 48 more hours to go! Hehee! I feel like a little kid before christmas! Great ideas everyone! Thanks!

Improvisation is the way to go. I agree with eggystardust on having some paper and some markers/pens around. Plain white paper would be best. Even if you can't draw well, you can always do things on paper. A friend and I were tripping once, just chilling listening to music and talking and one of us put pencil to paper and started drawing/writing out the beat to the song. The other filled in with the melody. We were just moving the pencils across the page to the sounds of the music. It wound up a big weird mess, but it was really fun while we were doing it.
Act on impulse. It can be funner than it originally seems.
Also, I have always had the urge to paint the room I'm tripping in. Just get a bunch of different colors of paint, brushes, rollers, spray paint cans... That would be really neat. Especially if you're an artist.
