Once you have them, you need to figure out where they are laying their eggs in order to get rid of them. I had them in my casing and couldn't get rid of them so I tossed the casing thinking that would be the end of it. Bug bombed the house, brought out a new casing thinking I was in the clear. Few days later it was infected as well. Turns out they had found an old bag of compost I had hidden away in the closet and were using that as their base of operations.

I did not think of a secondary source of the infestation , I guess i was too focused on the immediate problem and was only thinking of that one area , you may have saved me a crap load of time, thanks..seuss ..

yesterday i went through the house and anything that looked like it might harbor those gnat basturds was disinfected or removed , the cake, was submerged in a bleach/red man chewin tobacco tea soloution ,and the affected cake was put in a quarentine of sorts until its health is determined, the chewing tobacco is a proven insecticide that i have used sucessfully in the past on many types of pests, but has had no affect on any fungal problems i have has on roses or flowering trees, this should work ,I will update ..
