Air Holes vs. Fanning - PF-Tek birth/fruit chamber

There's surprisingly not much info here (I searched) on this subject, and about it's about 50/50 who prefers either method, and I've noticed that whoever prefers one of these two methods, seems to shun the other greatly, in both cases.
Anyway, so what is everyone's opinions, which is better, and why, are there even better methods, how many holes should you drill, how often should you fan, etc. etc.

Lots of Holes or Fan 2-6 times a day, or BOTH!

I think fanning is much better, if you can do so frequently.
I know a lot of people here are always on the fly: I work full time/and do school half-time, stuck in traffic for about 2 hours total each day and don't even have enough time to make a 5-minute meal.
In my case, the only option is to cut holes in my greenhouse. If you can, fan frequently-I'm sure you'll get better results. Cutting holes is enough to do the 'trick' in that your goomz will grow-but won't be too impressive.
hope this is what you were looking for

Well I do want this thread to help the masses more than myself, but for me personally, fanning will be quite difficult with my current setup whenever it gets to that time (not 100% colonization yet).
What I'm going to use as a birth/fruit/perlite chamber is a big plastic container with NO LID. So I'm gonna have to maybe tape some plastic wrap over the top I guess, plus to fan it, I'd have to take it down (it's on a high shelf) to do so, and I think that would be more risky for contams than just the fast/handy method of fanning it in place wherever it may be with the lid (which I remind you I have zero of). This is why I'm having second thoughts about fanning.
Do you have an estimate of how much better the results will be with fanning vs. holes? And also, how frequently is "frequently"? Like how many times a day?

Also, what exactly does the term "fanning" constitute? No matter how many times I do it a day, 2, 8, whatever, what would each "fanning" session be? Just fanning it a couple times, few seconds? Or do I sit there fanning it for 5 full minutes?

Fanning means you get to see your babies more often I suppose.

Fanning is when you take the lid of the tote and wave it back and forth over the terrarium to blow out the stale air and replace it with fresh. Fan for fifteen seconds or so each time. I'd suggest drilling a hundred or more 1/4" holes into all six sides of the terrarium, elevate it an inch or two off the shelf, and then fan a couple of times per day also.
Mist each time you fan, just before fanning. There is no maintenance free terrariums, so keep it simple and give your mushrooms lots of humidity, lots of fresh air, and lots of bright fluorescent light. RR

Ideally you want UNLIMITED FAE but 3-6 FAE exchanges are GREAT...small holes give better air currents...NEW FRESH AIR ALL THE TIME....It baffles me even some big growers still use fucking polyfill

I don't see how you are going to get holes in the lid for good FAE if you are using plastic wrap. And I would think you need holes there too. It would help draw air up through the perlite.
For $8 you can get a great tub at your local dollar store. You can use the lid or one of those small personal fans. Some clumsy growers have been known to accidentally hit their cakes with the lids. At least one clumsy grower I've known.

Too many holes, and you find yourself misting 10 times a day to stay at 85%RH.
Too few holes and you don't get enough FAE.
Thank God for Packing Tape.

Some of us have to work for a living, therefore our fruiting chambers may be alone for several hours at a time.....
And all I need for RH is perlite.
