Salvia and tools "salival"
    #792699 - 08/02/02 02:45 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

i exhaled my bong hit of salvia, the music of tools salival cd started to pulse through my soul. i closed my eyes and i realized that all our arguements and fights are for nought. there is a type of energy that flows through each one of us, and we choose to express it through different forms of art, liturature, religion...ect. but when we see someone else doing (expressing thier own energy) something we don't do or aren't familiar with or just don't agree with, we feel a primal challenge of sorts. such as, "if i don't make them think my way, then they will try to make me think their way." so we fight and argue. we bicker and then...we learn from each other. what was it that pulled america out of the great depression? war. an abomination to mankind and a throwback to an earlier evolution...but at the same time...our fights teach us things and push us forward.
but shouldn't there be a way that we can learn from each other through debate and such, without the hate? without the war? the obvious answer is, "yes, just calm down about things." but it's not that simple. while some people may be able to rationally discuss things, others let thier emotions cloud their thinking and clear judgement. and they become touchy, and they get offended by little things, then in turn, become offending, causing a voilent response. a chain reaction that starts wars.
can man ever become more? some say, "yes we can! just get rid of religion!" that's not true, because then you are trying to force your way of expressing energy on someone else.
some say, "yes! just all be christian!" that would be nice from a christians point of view, but once again, something forced fed is some choked on and thrown back up.
so what is the real answer? can we know? will we ever know? and whatever it is...will it become apparent to everybody one day? or will it continue to reveal itself to some, while eluding the others?
life, as we know it...is a wrong way to live. why? because obviously it doesn't work or there would be no hate. so we must find the answer. we must search. and if i may share....search through proper mind enlargening substances, through music...and through deep deep thought.
music is for the soul, what drugs are for the mind, what food is for the body.
the wrong kind of any of these will give you the wrong results.
be responsible in your life. be loving in your life. be open in your life. and you life will in turn become responsible, loving, and open. a better life to live.

then i opened my eyes, and fifteen minutes had passed, but the revelation took a lifetime to understand.
love. just think about love, and when your mind starts to wander...force it back. it is deeper and more complex than anybody ever ever will understand. it could be a science of it's own...love is all. all is love. so i am love and love is me...so i am all and all is me. we all connect. some try to fight...and upset the balance. why must we be so?

love. just think about love

Well said. Can you get that message out to the world?! In the ever-living
chorus of the Beatles "All you need is love!".

Hang on to that experience and strive to make it your daily experience,
especially when somebody cuts you off in traffic, oblivious to their
surroundings, and comes close to ending your world as you know it!

Peace to Everyone

Give away the stone.
Let the oceans take and transmutate this cold and fated anchor.
Give away the stone.
Let the waters kiss and transmutate these leaden grudges into gold.
Let go.

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

I think implementing a non-dogmatic education system, where students learn by completing exercises that DERIVE knowledge, would be a good start.. Memorization should be second fiddle to real learning.

What have you got against paragraphs and an occasional cap?
It was a hard read, but I tend to agree with you.

I think people need to stop waiting and/or trying to get everyone to believe what they believe and just live and let live...What all thought has to be exactly the same before we can be happy? Sounds scary to me!

Great post!
