Instead, I'm spending my life looking for a clean and effective way to kill these people.

Why not let nature / karma take it's course? Well I guess you might be a tool of karma, but I just think it's a waste of time. Killing idiots breeds more idiots. Loving idiots... well, that just may work once in awhile. We are all human (well at least partly), we all have the ability to feel love.

Yeah, that type of shouting gets you trespassed from the local mall, even if you didn't say anything offensive (I think it was determined that I was "confusing shoppers"

I get a picture of you shouting Nietzche quotes at the mall. If there is a grain of truth to it I will have to pray the love of Jesus into your heart.

We were shouting typical anti-consumerism messages and whatnot. Some "you're wasting your money on this imported garbage" here, some "nothing to see here... nothing to buy here..." there. You know, the usual public dissent.

It wasn't really the bullhorn that got me this handy pink slip... it was my sharp tongue to the officer (go figure, huh?). He told me the mall isn't an amusement park. I said, "what, are you kidding? It's almost Disney in there... all it needs is a couple of rollercoasters and you could start charging admission." It's really a long story... it doesn't tell right in this media either. You have to have the proper tone and whatnot... it just doesn't work.

Anger is an infectious emotion, more than any other I think.

I beg to differ, laughter is the most infectious emotion. Even when someone smiles at you, your mood gets uplifted, and have you ever laughed with someone but didn't even know what you were laughing about?

Anyway, about the original post, I also have to say that change comes first within, then with your relationships to other people. There is no other way, you can't change your relationship to the world if you don't completely and genuinely change yourself, otherwise you are just faking "speaking gently".

i hope nobody minds if i try to bring this topic back to it's name, which is, "to change the world."
i live by this analogy.

i was standing on a beach watching the sunset, when i saw a man walking towards me. as he drew closer i noticed that every couple of feet he would bend over and pick up something and throw it into the ocean, then continue walking for a few feet, then bend over and do it again.
finally i realized he was picking up starfish and throwing them back into the ocean.
i walked to him and asked, "sir, why are you throwing starfish back into the ocean?" and he replied, "to save them from death."
puzzled, i replied, "but sir, there are thousands of miles of beach around the world with thousands of starfish dying. it's natural selection, how can you possibly make a difference?" the man looked at me for a moment, then he stooped over, picked up a starfish, and with a powerful swing, threw it far far out into the water.
"i made a difference to that one didn't i?"

1+1 is only 2. but 2 is still a higher number.
if every 1 helps another 1, what number would that add up to?

Topic Changing the World.

I have 2 completely different halves about these types of topics. The one 1/2 says yes we need to love each other and not let our hate and selfishness get in the way of happiness.
Then the other half says. The only way to change is to kill those in power and take the earth back for the children. Kill the corporations and let us live in a simpler time. That half gets me into trouble. LOL

So I truly grok what you say Peaceful Nomad but I am not fully able to live by it. Maybe someday.

i definitely think anger is more infectous than laughter because living things have a natural sense of 'danger' and when someone is angry, this danger signal is triggered in those around the angry person. this can then lead to the other people being more on edge b/c of the one person being all pissed off. people on edge will be more suseptable to getting scared->angry out of fear of not knowing whats going to happen.

That's how I've come to perceive reality. As an manifestation of internal.

Exactly... hang on to the teaching or run the lesson guantlet again. This time I am striving to remember. I was shown that everything is karma.... everything... that pressure your feeling on your butt that makes you move around in your chair... karma... >=) Sit in harmony within creation and the flow will release the karma.. as long as one is willing to release the traits in full.
Early in this dream I had a horrible temper, but through remembrance it has almost totally abaded. I await the instance that I achieve the understanding to release negativity in full so that I may fill that void with a new level of energy to become empowered... to know how to respond creatively in every instance.

As far as "speaking softly" goes... to me it stands for how I want god to speak to me. Yes, at times I have needed a swift boot to the head, but now I am over coming that level of teaching to understanding the lesson(Love).

I no longer intentionally kill even ants... but if I do happen to squish something without harm in mind... then so be it... We're all just in the chemical reation.
Reality moves to will... just which way will you?

Whiterastahippie, I agree 100%. It's tough not getting caught up in the immensity
of life's drama. It can be paralyzing to think of all the changes that need to be
made in this world. If we all could just perform one kind act each day for ourselves
first, and then another soul, this world would be a much better place to experience
as a whole.

I can find much beauty surrounding me on a daily basis, and find the light within
myself. When I interact with the rest of society and see others having a
difficult time in seeing the light within and all around, I find this to be sad.

I have to struggle with my own internal demons on a daily/momentary basis, but
living a kind, gentle lifestyle is much like meditating ~ over time it becomes easier to
find those quiet spaces within the everpresent chaotic internal chatter.

If we could all master the balancing of our internal selves, there would be a

The problem is that some of us don't love ourselves. Some of us were brought into this world by people whose only skill was the ability to coupulate. Some of us don't know why we were brought into a life that is framed by pain and torture. The problem is that some of us are looking for "revenge, revenge for being born."
BTW - I didn't say I was one of those people.......but I understand how they feel, what makes them tick....... I don't judge them, I just don't believe they should be able to fuck up my world and the world of my kids, the world of people like here at the Shroomery. Just don't stop me from killing starfish, they are a plague that kill other more beneficial animals. That guy on the beach should have been given some information on starfish and the kind of predator they really are.
