can you birth 1 pint rye jars like cakes? just wondering if this will work.

I don't know but I've been told. It's hard to run with the weight of gold                                                                  On the other hand I heard it said. It's just as hard with the weight of lead.

i'm sure it's possible but it's hard to keep it hydrated that's why they are cased/spawned..

you dont have vermiculite in the rye jar to keep it wet so they mycelium/cake will eventually just dry up..

you can use rye flour and vermiculite if you want to do cakes..

it's a little stickier, but it works.

Uncased rye fruits poorly when it fruits as all. Crumble the grains and case. An alternative is to simply put a bit of casing material on top, and leave it in the jar.

Ok so i will try both suggestions case the top of the jar itself and do mini casings so with the mini casing i can just crumble and case with plain old vermic?
