I only just started noticing this, and I'm not sure if it's always been there, but do streetlights and car headlights give off a *slight* blue purple aura/haze surrounding the source of the light? I even notice that orange streetlights tend to give off a very subtle purple tinge to them on the very outside of the light source. Sometimes the light appears to look a bit like the colour spectrum, as opposed to just an orange or white light. It's not just streetlights or headlights, but also other bright light sources at night time.
I'm guessing this might be caused by my mild visual snow, which is probably a lingering a effect of psychedelic usage. Can anyone relate?

I don't notice it with orange or yellow lights really but I can definitely relate to that with bright white lights or ones with a cool color.
I don't have the best vision and so I often see starring around lights and this tends to, like you said, show as a spectrum.
What I notice more about lights is that super high pitched hum or ringing that they give off.

Holy fuck! I'm not the only one that notices this? Everyone I've ever told about it acts like I'm crazy. Ever notice it from TVs too? Especially CCTVs, those are the worst.

I can tell you what tv is on in my house at any given time by the whine. I hate it.

You can even hear electricity in the walls in most places. I lived without power for a long time and the silence was amazing.
How about the smell of electricity? Like Ozone or whatnot? A lot of people think I'm nuts for saying electricity has a smell but if you take a static-y blanket or something and get it all charged up... or build a Van de Graaff generator you can smell the electricity in the air. It smells sort of like copper and if you get synethesia at all, kind of blue... at least to me.

The bluish look comes from HID (High Intensity Discharge) lights.
And yes, electricity has a smell. Just like snow has a smell.
