Holy fuck, not only is he a Christian he's a New Earth Creationist.
And you can convert matter to energy... we can't do it without a loss but you can still destroy matter, depending on how you define "destroy".
I think he also means that God owes me a candy bar since he's existed before the finite beginning of time and thus, infinitely.

If you're in a cycle, everything that occurs occurs periodically. You didn't have to wait an infinite amount of time to live this life, you live it every so often, and you don't need to wait an infinite amount of time to relive it once more.
Whenever you lift a finger, matter in your muscles ceases to exist and this provides the energy you need to do something with that finger. So matter can be destroyed with great ease. It is energy that cannot be destroyed, not matter. Yet another flaw in his reasoning.
How can something that has no time, no space and no matter be intelligent? If he says he created the Universe, that suggests a passing of time, which there is not according to him.

The Hebrew word we translate as "Virgin" only means that she hadn't yet given birth to a son.
It honestly doesn't mean she had not had sex.

Okay, first thing, and this was used in a famous debate about ID.
Given infinity, what is the possibility of X occuring? (1000 monkeys on 1000 typewriters for near eternity...
it will.
Also, matter does not require time to exist. Time is merely a perceptual measurement on the decay of matter and movement of celestial bodies, arbitrarily plotted on Cartesian coordinates as the '4th dimension.'
'Time' is infinite in nature, perhaps, but that doesn't prevent a 'now' from existing. It is simply unplottable or understandable. The narrator is painted in a corner by saying there would be a finite future, contrary to the new testament.
Kids, I'm a Christian, and I say bah.Its not science, it isn't biblical.People like this just give others more ammunition against my belief system.
Like I'm sure there isn't an equally flawed argument for God not existing. i.e. can god make a rock so big.....

It's not a problem with Christianity in general, the problem is the fundies and the crackpots which come with ANY religion.
With Christianity these crackpots and fundamentalists are exceptionally bad because they so loudly proclaim their beliefs, no matter how ill placed they are.
I have some good friends who are Christian and it doesn't hurt our friendship because they don't try to shove it down my throat and wash it down with a chaser of misinformation and half-understood facts. One of my best friends is a pastor's son. Hell, I used to be a Christian myself and was raised that way. I've also studied Christianity and general religion in school and on my own time... I'm not at all unknowledgeable on the subject.
How can people demonize gays (I'm looking at you, Westboro Baptist) and at the same time eat shellfish? It's because they're picking and choosing their beliefs and which they would like to follow. There was a new covenant but certain fundies like to decide that some of God's rules of the Old Covenant are what is important. How many of these people have actually read and understood the Bible?
I can definitely see where you're coming from as a Christian because it is people like this and people like those at Westboro Baptist and similar "ministries" that give Christianity a bad name and generally drive people away rather than draw them in.
The other thing is, you're right about the argument from an atheist or non-Christian point of view as well. I was being sort of silly in my earlier posts in this thread but the fact of the matter is it's an argument of faith. You can't argue faith, it's a belief no matter which side of the line you stand on.

First, I hate talking heads on youtube. If I knew these people, maybe I'd give a shit.
Secondly, this is just a half-baked theory that he undoubtedly either filched from someone else or spent far too much time cultivating in his inner recesses.
Finally, religion is bad. Spirituality is good. I'm neither religious or spiritual, but I find religion infinitely flawed because, as an organization, it creates people like this.

I think I see the light now. With all my skepticism, this guy has just shown me the way in a 3 minute video on youtube. I think I need to get in touch with him so he can help me salvage my relationship with his creator.
No... But seriously, everything he said we can prove wrong. He thinks time and this earth was created 6,000 years ago, but there is so much scientific evidence to disprove that. It amazes me that he believes that because the bible said it.
There is absolutely no way to prove that a god does or does not exist. It's all a matter of belief, but some people are extremely ridiculous. This guy is one of those people because I think he truly believes everything that he is saying.

Even if it were proven that an intelligent designer created the universe, why would the Christian God be accepted over the thousands of other Gods/Messiahs/Spirits from every other religion on this planet? Either way, we've got a book written thousands of years ago that can't be fully proved or fully disputed. Either way it comes down to faith, and I have absolutely no faith in a book written by man.

Fuck, finished watching the video, now i hate him even more.
3:00 WHOLE FUCKING MINUTES TO SAY :-
"What came before the Big Bang? God"
Alright you smart fucker what created God? It just throws up a whole new set of questions pretty fucking identical to 'what created the Universe'.
If the creator of God is outside the realms of Theology then I say we kick God the fuck out too.

His argument was actually pretty valid up until the point he made the leap from <something created the universe> to <that something is a god that hold us "accountable" for our actions>
