Canon PowerShot A570 IS. The last one I had was a $99 Kodak EasyShare my Dad got me for x-mas some 3 odd years ago.

This thing has so many features I don't even know where to start! I finally have a camera with macro, 7.1 megapixels up from my previous 4.1. Right now I'm diggin' the panoramic mode. It lets me take pictures in sections then upload into the computer and make one long image out of it. It's so sweet! I got it for $150 including the 2 year accidental damage protection from work (Best Buy).
I'm in NO way a photographer but it's great to finally have a nicer piece of equipment. I'm usually the one out of all my friends to bring a camera and snap photo and videos of parties, hanging out, etc. Anyway I'm rambling. Anyone else have a similar camera? How do you like it?

Good choice!
I bought the Canon PowerShot A720IS two weeks ago. It replaced my old powershot A85 that made more than 12000 pictures.
I like the powershot series because it gives full manual control (aperture, exposure time, focus) in an affordable non-SLR camera.
Here is an autostiched picture I took yesterday:

I also like the macro function:

Ya I got the wife a nice 7.1 but we can't find it. I hope I didn't leave it on a job. If I didn't, when I find it I will sell the 2.1 cybershot that I have for 50 bucks to someone in need. I have to find the other 1st though. That is a nice cam you got.

I noticed all of those manual controls. I really don't know what half of them mean but with a camera like this I might as well learn. Those are some great shots!
