The World's Greatest Timer!

I noticed that peeps are still using 15 minute and 30 minute increment timers when they should be using Repeat Cycle timers, like the Cyclestat 4P.
The Cyclestat 4P timer has many uses. Only a few of them include: fogging or misting, spray stakes or drip system timing, air pumps, CO2 equipment and intake or exhaust fan control. The Cyclestat may be set for interval and cycle of timed events. Interval is the time between the "On" and "Off" cycles. The interval knob may be set from 5 minutes to 8 hours. Set this for desired time between functions. Cycle is the length of time that a specific function or condition must be maintained. Cycle may be set from 5 seconds to 30 minutes.
Maybe this is obvious, but seems like many people are using 24-hour timers instead of repeat cycle timers.
Since I don't think any of our sponsors carry this, it's okay to link to it right?

Kind of like a kick in the ass at $120 plus shipping. I will stick with my $20 digital that I can program.

Spendy, yes, but the possibilities are endless.
How many events per day do you get with that digital?
The Cyclestat 4P can run up to 288 times per day!

yeah that thing is pretty nifty. you should be able to get a repeat cycle timer for about 70$ though. realisticly a 15 minute timer that gives you 96 settings is all most need in this hobby and those cost about 10$ or less. if you want something with shorter intervals there's a tek in the nook archives that shows you how to modify the gearbox for a 6$ intermatic timer so that it gives you 1.5 minute options and finishes the cycle in roughly half an hour. so you could dial in an ultrasonic system with that.
what would you need intervals of less than 15 min for other than an ultrasonic for growing mushrooms?

here's the encore timer. does the same exact thing for about half the price. 68$ hurts a bit less than 120

The digital I have has 178 events per day. I am in no way saying that the Cyclestat 4P is not an awesome addition to any grow setup, I just can't justify the money. My lights are on a 12/12 schedule so a $6 analog timer does that job. My cool mist and sonic are the only things I have on the digital and it seems to do a great job.

I like that mod, very cool, and yes, there are cycle timers for around 70-80.
If you run a power strip into the Cyclestat you can run up to 6 ultras, 30 seconds on, 5 minutes off.
But yes, $130 delivered is a kick in the pants.
Great options for less spendy guys, that is awesome!

Ah ha! I have no idea why I didn't know that. I thought it was some super type of equipment I was missing.
