thats actually one of the most common LSD visuals i get. i always see those patterning on walls, and there is usually more than one. they move like interlocking gears.

well the mandala that i saw was massive... it took up all of my peripheral vision. it was gear like and i got sucked into the center. after that i came out but had expanded awareness, could see through my physical eyes yet i could see my body through multiple points outside of my body as well.
it was completely different from the obes, astral projections, lucid dreams ive had. never heard of it. unless this is a different form of astral projection?

In Neil Young's biography, Shakey, Poncho Sampedro, the guitarist in the second incarnation of Crazy Horse recounts a tale of dropping massive amounts of acid with Ralph Molina before one show, and the entire world consisting of rotating mandalas that he is traveling through, being formed out of colors being spun out of his strings every time he hits them.
Neil Young doesn't even know that his drummer and guitarist are on acid...he walks over to Poncho and says "Man, we're really psychedelic tonight!" during one of the songs.

Apparently it was one of the best shows they'd ever played, in many of their opinions.
