i'm lookin for some kind of software that i could make my own music in. i mean, something that would let me actually add beats and distortions etc and then save it into a complete mp3. does such a piece of software exist that's not outrageously expensive? $100 is about all i'd spend, unless it was reaally sweet.

atomix virtual dj is pretty decent.. but there are way way better programs out there.
if you're into torrents it's pretty easy to find a small download.
i've used virtual dj too it's not too bad either.

for what mixing two tracks? get some native instruments Traktor studio.s. You could mix live up to four decks with full midi mapable interface and layerable effects. enjoy yuorself, if you wanna be a real pimp, youll get yourself some decks.
