I wish this website had a lot more videos of people getting nailed by bait cars.
http://www.baitcar.com
I would vote for a tax hike to get more of these. These should be in every city everywhere. and like 4 times as many.
they have been proven to seriously lower crime.

you cant entrap someone by planting a car somewhere and then they steal it. You would have to convince them to steal it if they normally wouldn't. Any normal citizen doesn't steal a car just cause they can, even if I saw a car with the keys in the ignition, i wouldn't start driving it...lol

I consider them great. they aren't even close to entrapment. entrapment is when you convince someone to do a crime they would not otherwise do. in these cases, they willingly steal the car by their own accord and are 100% guilty.

Some bait cars have the keys left in them, which is fucked up. The car should be left somewhere, and someone needs to break in and steal it using car thieving tools.
I like the idea, but some of them are seriously entrapment. If you're poor, and you see some dude get arrested, and his car's just sitting there with the keys in it, you're going to be all up in that bitch. (I've seen sting ops that are EXACTLY like this)
As long as they punish people who need tools of theft to start the car, that's cool, but they can't punish people who have hungry families for being an opportunist. Until there are better laws surrounding entrapment (the Supreme Court's current opinion is that it essentially doesn't exist) then people in the drug community shouldn't support a further curtail of civil liberties and court protections.

Being poor is not an excuse to steal a car under any circumstance. Just because keys are left in a car doesn't give anyone the right to steal it.
If you do you deserve to be thrown in jail.

you have no concept of what entrapment is.

off subject: but im about to claim entrapment in court for getting pulled over. A pig was Hocking me for a few miles right on my bumper. I didnt even know it was a cop. He followed me on a couple unnessisary turns i made to figure out what the fuck was going on.
He was a foot from my bumper when i approached a stop sign. I begain to stop and he looked like he was going to hit me. I rolled through and he lit me up. Fuckers.
he imediatly tried to open the door to my car, but to bad for him, i fucking lock it and represent my rights.
Is this a case of entrapment? not only would i not have ran the sign without him there, i wouldnt even have been at that sign, without his influance.

What did you say to him when it happened?
I would go to court and say you felt tailgated and threatened and though you where being aggressively followed for a road rage incident.
Tell them the conduct of the officer and explain it.
If someone was about to hit me from behind, while I was at a stop sign. I would let them. A cop would be really screwed in this situation.

im not getting in an accident where this happened; lets just say in the 313. I Executed a perfect civilian response to a traffic stop.
engine off, hands on the wheel till the officer arrives, cabin light ON Did not argue Answered all questions politely and vaguely. Refused any search, Agreed to a PBT and stated the amount of alcohol and time frame i drank it in. (less than limit)
answered his standards with: "I dont have any illegal drugs or weapons ever" (true latley)
he asked me if i knew he was there behind me, i said "yes, but i didn't know you were law enforcement."
I thanked him for my ticket and left.
ill argue with the judge not the crooked cops around here.
