Ozone Generator

Could anyone tell me the good effects that an ozone generator would have in my lab? I understand that they are used to kill mold and such but does one have a practical use as in a laminar flow hood or anything? Do any experts have any opinions? FYI I have one laying around, puts out about 3500 mg/hr.

Some people say that ozone is harmful to humans. Among them is the EPA. For the record, any information I could find saying that Ozone is not harmful was issued by the manufacturers of ozone air purifiers. Go figure.

I use one in my grow area. It's one of the Ionic Breeze units by sharper image. Ozone isn't good for humans in higher concentrations but you'll know if it's to high because you'll get headaches and a sore/dry throat.
Mine is adjustable so I put mine on medium and it's great. cleans the air pretty well, though I wouldn't use it as a flow hood or anything. I think it's better at supplementing any air cleaners you already would have in a lab. But yes they do do quite a job at cleaning the air.

Keep it simple, no need for ozone except in a weed room.

But if he has one not in use for anything else he might as well toss it in there. Thats just IMO though, better to be used for SOMETHING besides collecting dust if ya ask me.
