Grain jar stops colonizing with about 15% left?

Whats up guys
You ever get a grain jar colonizing, and then it decides that it doesn't want to colonize 100%? Its not a big deal, as all of my other jars are perfect, but I was just wondering why this happens.. I read that some competitor molds/fungi will meet each other and call a "cease fire" kind of.. instead of attacking, they just form a border, more or less.. only thing is, i see no sign of other life in there, and its a somewhat substantial amount of uncolonized grain...
I was also thinking that it may have to do with water content, as this is the first batch ive done with no (or little) burst grains (WBS), and it sees dried, though i guess i could be wrong..
anyways, any ideas?

If you have too much gas exchange (too many or too large breather holes) the tops and sides of your grain jar may dry out.
You can re-hydrate with distilled water by filling the jar with water and soaking it overnight.
This is not recommended if the grains are not at all colonized, but only if weakly or thinly colonized.
Never re-hydrate 100% uncolonized grains, only ones that have stalled while thinly covering the grains.

Shake, and if it recovers it's fine. If not, it was contaminated. RR

Here is how my first grow went...
WBS stopped colonizing during the last 10-15% even ater shaking

Everyone said it was bacteria.
I spawned to a few monotubs and 5 gallon buckets
Here was the 5th flush in the buckets. The monotubs were even better.

yeah.. its not that its like a big issue or anything, i just wanted to know possible causes.. it happened before, and shaking took care of it, but this jar has already been shaken twice.. may as well hit up again though
thanks guys

Nevermind then. If you shook it twice and it still won't colonize, toss it. Mycelium doesn't simply stop growing without a reason. RR

Maybe it's just a ridiculously slow strain, was it multi-spore?

Odd, without any signs of contams huh? Are the remaining grains especially wet or dry?

Ya know I wouldn't shake again if it is contaminated it may not come back, just break it up enough to get it out and trash the tablespoon of unused crap in the trash. Why make it take another month with useless bullshit. Leave biger dime size chunks. I just did that with a contamned compost bag and it made it. I open it cuz I aint worried after seeing what it colonized.
