You can also blenderize your fruits with any fluid you prefer, like chocolate milk.
The drink will still taste like mushies, but it's easier to slam a glass of milk than to eat 50 grams of wet mushies.

I like to grind dried cubes and put them in gel caps. There is no taste (maybe if you burp) and grinding your mushrooms makes the potency even throughout.

I thought about doing that once, but after thinking about it wouldn't you have to crystalize the actives first? I mean, If I wanted to dose 3 grams, how many gel caps would I have to eat!

They would grind to a fine powder, I think you could fit a few large mushies into maybe even four caps... Correct me if I'm wrong.

I do that with the slightly dirty bits I can't clean off the vermiculite and the MGMC all the way. I snap those parts off the actual dry mushies and grind that into a powder in a coffee grinder. Then I put them in gel caps and give them away to my friends. I never ate any so I couldn't say how many you need to get off baseline. I do know a lot of bits only makes a little powder so I'd say take it slow.
I never considered cooking them. I always have surplus. So eating 50grams of fresh cooked caps .. or stems even if it lowers potency is a right fine idea. I'll fix 'em up the way I do buttons.
I'll chop them up and cook them in a pan with olive oil. I always add some thinly sliced fresh garlic (about two cloves) and some salt. I bet they'd be good with a few shrimp on a brown rice bed. Heh I could make that and take it for lunch. I bet no one at work would even blink while I'm scarfing down some shrimp, cubes and rice. I could use some chopped backed chicken too. That'd reheat well... Oh the door is open now. I've got so many possibilities with cooking.

Tea!

I like to let it steep for 10 minutes with a couple bags worth of tea and some lemon, press, then filter through a cone filter to get out the fine grit. After that it's basically just a cup of tea. Some sugar and a drop of cream, and the shrooms are barely detectable.
God, I hate the taste of shrooms.

The "00" size caps will fit about 1/2 gram each when they are tightly packed, so about 6 pills would get you the desired 3 gram trip. The "000" size, though I've never used them would probably hold closer to a gram or more each tightly packed, but those are bigger than some people are comfortable swallowing. Either way, this has been the preferred method of ingestion by my friends who can't stand the taste of cubes. The bonus, like I stated before is that the potency is even throughout due to all of the mushrooms being grinded and mixed together, which eliminates some batches having higher potency than others. I have a jar filled with this powder and add a little to it from each crop of mushrooms. The voyages the powder puts you on are very intense EVERY time

Fahkface said: That's a very subjective topic. In my opinion wood lovers, such as Cyans and Azures taste even worse than Cubes, though a lot different. You probably know who VERY, VERY old walnuts taste (the half rotten ones, you spit out, after tasted them). Multiply that by ten and you might a an idea of the taste wood lovers have. I think cubes taste rather good; almost like pumpkin seeds. But you're right, old cubes, taste quiet moldered! Pans, do not just smell like VERY old sport socks, but also taste worse. Actually they taste just like cubes, but A LOT more extreme!
In my opinion, that's one of prices you have to pay for your adventures. I always hate this part (especially because I mostly trip on Ps. Cyans), but it's just a short moment, so I don't really give a shit.
Just mix up your mushrooms with a little chocolate pudding and you'll be fine. Well, it's kind of fucked up feeling to to feel all these chunks in the pudding but better than the taste of pure ones
Ah, BTW: slerotia is said to taste a lot better than Cubes etc.!
i feel the exact opposite, except for about sclerotia... i think cubes taste like ass and kind of like th taste of cyans and azures. stones taste like hazelnuts with a bitter after taste

i love the taste of the northwestern woodlovers, of P. cubensis. of the grasslanders like P. semilanceata and P. strictipes but at the end of the day, and with the exception of the grass land species, they all seem to have the same aftertase, which is psychologically bittersweet.

I once had some heart-shaped milk chocolates that had loads of powdered shrooms in them. They taste great and were strong as all hell. I imagine that wouldnt be too hard to do, just dont let the shrooms be too hot for too long.

Nutella has a strong chocolate/nutty taste. From what you're describing it may mask it pretty well.
I say go stir fry and use hot sauce if you really can't stand them.
It's been like 20 years since I tried an active but from what I remember I kinda liked them.(taste anyway)
Good luck with your cooking.

Next time you have a bunch of fresh cubes, cut off the stems and set them aside for another day. Take the caps and rub a little blue cheese or ranch salad dressing into the gills. Rub olive oil on the outside of the cap. Add salt and pepper to taste, then grill outside on the bbq until done(gill side up), usually only a few minutes. when the dressing in the gills starts to boil, it's done. It's hard to beat cubes for good taste when cooked. When raw, they're nasty as hell, just like any raw mushroom.
The heat will degrade them slightly, but not much. Cook up about 50 grams of fresh caps and you'll be happy. RR
I followed the above method with blue cheese dressing and KSSS caps. I used 50 grams as instructed and then put the cooked shrooms in a toasted bread sandwich. I cut the sandwich in half and gave half to my girlfriend. WOW that is dangerous. It tasted SO good I wanted to eat MORE. Fortunately I didn't. 25 grams of caps cooked was more than enough for me. If those things lost potency as the result of cooking them, then I really don't want to know what they would have done at full strength. Oh and I'm darn glad I split the sandwich. Otherwise I'd still be trying to find my way back from Pluto. Still this is exactly what I was looking for Roger Rabbit. Thanks again. As always good advice.
With regard to gel caps, I've never tried them myself. I have a friend that prefers them this way.
There are lots of great ideas here. I've often wanted to make the chocolates and may yet. I've done the teas. Those are pretty decent I agree.
As far as the other kinds of mushrooms, it sounds like it's a matter of opinion what tastes good to whom. So I guess I'll just have to refine my techniques, order some spores, and give them a try.
