Re-birth of casing trays.

I birthed a few jars of my B+ strain into some casing mix about a month ago, but after the mycelium developed my mix got too dry for me to save, and only 1 abhort into development, all progress stopped entirely. I made a new terrarium, and I'm now confidant in it's abilities. The trays of casing and mycelium I left in my old terrarium after they stopped growing, so I know that they haven't been contaminated.
Is there any way that I can ressurect this casing mix and mycelium? I'd like to put the new terrarium that I've built through a test run so that when my new cakes are ready to be birthed I've got all of the flaws completely dealt with.
Plus, it would be nice to see if I can't put these trays of myc to some sort of use before fully giving up.

what?
I dont understand how you let your casing layer get too dry. you can always mist spray your casing layer to add moisture.
You could try dunking your entire casing. I dont know how large yours is, but I generally dunk to rehydrate the colonized substrate and casing layer after every flush. then use some paper towel to suck up an excess moisture to prevent contamination, especially water that gets trapped under your substrate layer.
hope i could help somewhat. maybe clarifying your problem would help

The development stopped so I kindof abandoned it to make a new terrarium. The one that I was using was not OK, and I was having a very hard time finding a balance in temperature and humidity.
I have read about dunking methods, but I only know how to get it to work for cakes and not entire trays of casing. Mostly, I'm worried that I'll end up drowning the mycelium.
Sorry if this whole thread is confusing...

Dont worry about drowning the mycelium. Simply fill your casing container, including the substrate and casing layer. This means your entire casing is 100% submerged in water. Then place it in the fridge overnight to help prevent contamination. Finally, after 12-24 hours, drain out all the water and place your casing back into your FC.
also I recommend using a paper towel and patting dry your casing layer and the bottom of your substrate, this is another precaution to prevent contamination from standing water.
