I got plenty of money saved.
I think that's part of my problem in all honesty.

If I lived cheaply, like, poverty cheap, and didn't work, I could probably pull it off for a couple years.

that's a pretty big if

believe me, i've gone through all the figures for my state (after dropping health and car insurance, which would mean driving illegally and risking more fines), and figured it would cost me at least 10-15k per year to live healthily even if not comfortably or in the best part of town

Damn. What happens when you finish those few years? You need a job or to go back to school. Jobs are hard to get w/o a degree.

there's no way i can talk you in/out of this, but man, trust me.

you should know how much i hate college, especially considering the alternative which is feasible.

if you stay in and get it over with now, you will be happier about it. it's a lot easier to knock something out of the way than have it looming over you

but do what you want

I have no plans of dropping out. I know there aren't any true viable options aside from the military, and that's not really a viable option for me right now. I'm just saying it's frustrating. I guess this is my monthly "I hate college" post.

Would you do school part-time like you do now and work part-time too? Or just do school part-time and get the best of both worlds.

So you don't even have a job?

Going to college later probably means you'll be making less money your whole life than you would be at the same age if you had finished school earlier. Basically you're deciding to be fiscally retarded so you can please yourself round the clock for the moment. The savings will go fast.

It's not like you can't have fun in your life AND go to class. Seriously man, I urge you to rethink this. I'm not all that much older than you and I already wish I had gone to school as early as possible. I'm the same age as some of my colleagues yet they have more experience in this industry and they make more money.

You'll still be young, you'll have school behind you, and you'll have years ahead of you before you get all tied down with a family and shit.

i probably had about 10 or 20 drop out conversations per semester with my mom over the last two and a half years. it's finally set in that finishing is for the best, even if never put my degree to use or need it for anything...the fact that i have it if i do ever need to get a "real" job, it's there. kind of a safety net
