No, it's not active, but many peyote growers use Blue Myrtle to graft Peyote cuttings onto it because Peyote grows much faster when it is grafted onto Myrtles or Pedros. They seem to prefer grafting onto Myrtles instead of San Pedro because Myrtles seem to take a graft easier. That's why you saw it listed among active cacti.

So, is it good to do a peyote graft onto that cactus that felixhigh posted above? I have seen those around in garden centres quite a lot. Is that one in the picture myrtillocactus geometrizans?

yes, the one in the pic is a myrtillo and yes, they're very good for grafting whatever you wanna graft...

Would it be a good idea to graft a peruvian to one of these to get it to a good size before using it's own roots?
And if so, could/should you graft more than one to it for say a year or so?
(these are seedling peruvians, and I'd like to get them to a good growing size as fast as possible.)

Also if one is to graft to this cactus, what kind of requirements does this cactus itself have?

If I have peyote seedlings too, how big would they need to be, before I can consider grafting them to a Myrtillocactus Geometrizans?
