agreed listen to whatever you want...
but my opinion? eminem sucks, and so does 90% of rap or hip hop or whatever the fuck you want to call it. trance? bleh.

maybe it's just me but...turn off your mtv and listen to something artistic that has substance...i'll let you be the judge of what that may be.

Personally I think rap is excellent. Now I am not talking about Ja-Rule Dmx bullshit type rap. Im talking about Bone Thugs, Jurassic 5, Old Wu Tang and The Roots.

"Eminem kicks ass you guys just don't feel him!
Eminem has some bad ass background noises, especially on his newest cd!!!!"

I just do like the fuck. Hes always bitching and complaining about shit that i could give damn about. I dont want to hear about his problems and how he hates gay people.

And as far as background noises and the instrumental part, its not all that. Have you ever heard ringmaster. That shit is dope and has mad freshness.

Someone yelling and bitching about how much they hate everything, using the "f" word to modify every word from "bitches" to "fucking", and the ignorance that flows through eminem... I think that is not condusive to a very spiritual trip.

I agree about eminem not being very spiritual, but I guess not everyone is looking for that sort of thing with a trip.  If anyone is interested in some awesome rap that is spiritual I'd suggest checking out Blackalicious, all the their songs have a positive vibe to them that I have listened to while tripping and enjoyed.  I honestly think eminem would put my in a bad mind state during a trip though but that's just me  :smirk:

yeah there is good rap out there...just gotta dig - but to me rap in general isn't good for tripping.

check out: the roots, blackalicious, the streets, del, and a tribe called quest

I think Eminem has some good songs, but not any very good songs for tripping.
Pink Floyd, has vary psychedelic music, but some of his tunes gives me the creeps. Comfortably numb, the song where they sing about a bike, The Psychedelic breakfast, and some of the animal songs are nice, but hmm..
Not my favourite. Royksopp!! That is some nice mellow trippy music.
or Lemon Jelly, or Nightmares on wax (but thats more stoned music), Air, Ugress, Ralph Myers and the Jack Herren band, Gorillas, Tool, Telle', Enigma, Era, Enya, and of course Sphongle++ many more Love music =)
The soundtrack of Requiem for a dream will surely cause a bad trip!! Anyone heard it?

I recently had a great time tripping with Eminem playing off and on the whole night. Then again I was in a nightclub and some people say that they couldn't handle that either. On the way home we listened to Eminem and Techno. I loved every minute of it. In the begining it was all about having fun and later on that night at home I sat in a dark room and closed my eyes and let the trip take me where ever. I had the bestof both worlds, the party time fun and the spiritual side as well. Tripping doesn't have to be one thing or another, just what ever you want it to be.

That's just me though.
