Eminem's the shit. However, I think you should stick with some good old techno while tripping. If you feel like getting up and dancing, throw down some house or progressive trance. If you feel like chilling, put on some nice relaxing shit like orb, or high performance.

Loud, vulgar, talk of death and violence, the music bass going "BAM,BAM,BAM" the whole way through... yeah this is everything that you dont want to hear on shrooms. A horrible choice. I like Slim Shady, but i would never dream of listening to him while tripping.

Purple Pills by D12 is very funny, I like to listen to this when I've got the giggles, it puts me in a great mood for the rest of the trip.

he sucks, altho he sings for shrooms too ( IM sure he doesnt shroom, this commersial pfuck ) There was a song in his first album that he raps i dont do drugs dont drink beer i smoke weed and do do shrooms sometihing li ke hat ahhahaha

all the people who are like, "don't listen to eminem- listen to pink floyd!"
listen to what you want to listen to while tripping. listen to eminem if you like eminem. listen to the most fucked up grindcore stuff if you want to. listen to the allman brothers if you want to. listen to destiny's child if you want to. listen to whatever you want.
there's no rule that all psychedelic trips have to consist of sitting around listening to pink floyd or something.
listen to eminem.

Good post, achtung. Although i wouldn't enjoy eminem, if someone else did, they should listen to it.
I personally find pink floyd to be some of the most un-psychedelic music. Yeah its all nice and dreamy, but the singer brings you down because lyrics remind me of a defined self. Not to mention their sound texture isn't very hot, it can get MUCH crazier, especially with modern electronic music.
But hey, if you like pink floyd, by all means keep listening.

What about the possibility a person listening to eminem on a psychedelic may, for the first time, realize things about eminem and the nature of some of his lyrics? People tripping should face every aspect of themselves in order to analyze it. Otherwise growth is not possible.

have you heard all the floyd albums? particularly Dark Side of the Moon or Pulse? some of floyd's music is depressing, but some of it is absolutely fantastic for tripping, ime. however, i agree with you guys that you shouldn't look down on someone for listenin' to eminem on a trip. i love eminem, but i just wouldn't like to listen to that anger filled music on a trip - and that's just my humble opinion

I guess if you had that idea in mind, you could grow as a result of tripping to Eminem, but otherwise I just don't think it's a good idea.
The song "My Fault", which is the shroom song, is all about a girl who has a really bad trip and dies. I don't know if that's what I want to hear while tripping on shrooms.
"Drug Ballad" is about drugs "really having a hold on him". I don't want to hear about his addictions.
"Purple Pills" is about having fun on drugs, but I wouldn't listen to it just so I could go "whoa dude, i'm on shrooms......and he just mentioned shrooms again. That's so kool dog."
That's just me though.

Personally eminem would ruin my trip. His music is messed up as it is, if tripping, it would completely disgust me. To each his own though. If you try it, let us know how you liked it.

If your going to listen to Eminem I agree with Purp Voyage, Purple Pills is an awesome song to trip to. None of his other stuff would really suit the expierence however.

I dunno - most of the stuff I agree with for content --- and I only appreciate some of his stuff -- but I think "Lose Yourself" would be fucking great while tripping.
Affirmation of reaching your goals -- it's great.
And "White America" is a strong song about injustice and whatnot (not that I'd choose to trip to it, just that it's a positive-song as well)
Still don't understand people who make character judgements on musical tastes, but I might just be stupid.
And Learyfan --- I sincerely think you'd appreciate the Legendary Pink Dots.

As far as Floyd goes, Ummagumma is one of the ultimate trip albums. The studio disc in particular
It also depends on the trip your goin for. If your going on a sunshiney carefree layin in the grass and staring at the clouds type trip, stuff like Dark Side of the Moon and Meddle are great. Animals is great when your fryin balls too. Like dark Gospel of the night or some shit.
If your going on a crazy but still sunshiney trip, Piper at the Gates of Dawn is classic. And Atom Heart Mother is just fucking fantastic for any trip.
Why the hell would youwant to listen to EmineM trippin? Whatever gets you off i guess.
