I read recently that the trichocereus peruvianus, or PERUVIAN TORCH cactus contained a percentage of mescaline equal to that of peyote. I definitely do not want to start a debate on the amount of mescaline in this or the san pedro or any other, unless i am completely wrong about the Peruvian torch. then, I'd appreciate it if someone would let me know. For research purposes only. What I am interested in knowing, however, is the amount of cactus one would need to have an incredible trip. A friend wanted to know... 100 grams? 200 grams?

i have had an "incredible" experience on an extract of 50 grams.
75-100 would for sure be a heavy dose.

there is no way to judge doses of cactus in weight unless you have used plant material from the same clone before.

you said an extract of 50 grams does that mean 50 grams of the mescaline extracted from the cactus or 50 grams of cactus

Not sure what this would equate to in grams...in my experience making for friends, one is pretty safe with 1 foot of cactus per person for being comfortable in public. Though i actually prefer half a foot or less of my clones. (though i have one that i'm going to clone up very soon, it has 7 babies, and i drank 1 half foot and it owned me for about 8 hours of a 14 hour trip) So generally there is little way to tell from a different clone.
Though of course i divvy up amounts based on the final liquid's thickness and color and keep any left over (i always make too much with my clones on the 1 foot per person scheme!!)
Hmmm but if i were to buy powdered cactus from a guy that i know, i would get 40grms per trip on his reccommendations, try it once at home, then if i decide to do again i'll adjust accordingly.

ha ok thanks. 50 grams would probably blow my mind inside out wouldnt it. so this means 100 grams of peruvian torch cacti would be sufficient for approximately two journeys? excellent. thank you everyone
