Minimum temp for incubation

I can only get my PF jars around 73-75F. I know this is really low. is it still possible to incubate at these low temperatures? if not, is it safe to say these jars are going to survive long enough to find a way to bring it up to 80-85?

They'll do just fine at those temps. Incubating doesn't even really aid colonization time that much, and past 83 degrees, it actually slows it down. Colonizing jars at room temperature, which you're at least able to get up to, is just fine.
Incubating increases contamination risks, because the high temps are good for other shit that likes to grow in warm places like molds and bacteria.
You'll be fine!

Believe it or not elevation has a significant effect along with temperature IMHO. I find that 75-78 at 8k feet is premium and 80-82 at 100 feet is optimum. But I am but one science experiment with one strain. Not sure if anyone else can substantiate this correlation. I have only repeated observations from my vantage to offer.

alright guys. the more I read the more I get confused. I hear 82 to 86 is optimal? Maybe 80 to 84?
It seems like half of the people will say yeah, any lower than that and you're going to have slow colonization. The other half says you'll be fine, higher temps will just risk more contams. What the fuck is it? I'm completely confused. I've got mine incubating at 85. well the bottom of the top tub (in the TiT) is 86.
sorry. didn't mean to steal a thread, which i just realized i kind of did. but fuck. can someone help?
im sure any answer to mine will help meph.. too.

I am fairly certain that according to RogerRabbit the optimum incubation temp is 81 and anything over it will actually stall myc growth. I read the thread a while back but I have been drunk a few times since then so I can't say my statement is 100% accurate. But room temp is always a safe bet.

Quit smoking weed and just get them at room temp. I will go ahead and be the definitive voice cause....well just cause. 70-75 is fine. It's more than fine it's PERFECT. If you want to incubate those last 5!! degrees because you can't wait an extra 3-5 days then I'll tell you what you do. You take those quarts jars, rub some Crisco all over the outside surfaces...and then sit on them. Room temp is fine. Leave them alone. Have patience and quit making this thread of "OMFG! It's at 79F! THey'll never colonize now! I thre out all my jars!!!1!"

Too hot for me definitely led to more contamination.
