Evil Green Mold

I am new here and have been using this wonderful site along with a friends aid through my first attempt. Has gone well but I suddenly was attacked by green mold (During the second flush of the specific cakes). I had to throw out 4 cakes (scraped off at first bad parts but kept spreading on those cakes anyway) It has been 4 days since the big disaster and have had no more outbreaks as I can tell.
I am curious what is a way to avoid the green mold? Do I have to much heat, humidity, etc.? I have looked through the posts and haven't found an answer to this specific question...If I missed it I apologize in advance and thank you for any help.
Also a few other things, should you put in fresh perilite (if thats what your using in your chamber, which i am) after ever round of cakes has finished their flushes?
Do you clean the grow chamber inbetween, if so with what?
A friend who has been doing this for yers has given me most of my direction and says to put a capful of peroxide in the gallon jug of spring water i use for moisture in my growth tank...what is your guys take on this?
Lot's of questions...hopefully lots of answers You guys seem very knowledgeable when not arguing (lol) so I will be looking foward to your responses.

Hepa filter is a great idea for a grow room if possible. Lysol will also kill almost anything. Keep all of your grow equipement a least 2ft off the floor at all times, floor are some nasty.
Peroxide will aid in the extermination of cobweb mold, I always use a diluted H202 solution to mist casings and cakes.
Mold also thrives in acidic environments, there's not much you can do on cakes to avoid that. When working with casings however you can adjust the PH (raise it) of the substrate and casing layer using hydrated lime to help keep the nasties at bay.

I haven't explored casings yet and a lot of abbreviations are still a little foreign to me but I just started looking up the whole casings thing.
They are def a good 3 feet off the floor and I use the Lysol in the area I'm working in as well.
So then that damn mold is pretty much prepare as much as possible and get lucky cause no matter what ya 'could' get f***ed (unsure of profanity policy here), awesome. Then again I guess that pretty much goes for the whole process so I guess it kind of makes sense.
I'm gonna have to read up on the hydrated lime thing.
Thanx
EDIT: Wow just found the glossary from the introductory message to the forum, so looks like I just got some studying to do.

Air exchange is the key to avoiding molds in the fruiting chamber. Sterility is the key to avoiding molds in the jar stage. If your cakes contaminate after first flush, it means your fruiting chamber isn't getting enough fresh air. Don't worry about filtering fruiting chamber air. It isn't necessary. RR

Why do you say it isn't necessary to filter the air? Doesn't the un flitered air leave a better chance of contamination?
