Well, fuck. That seems like it would work.

But...fire hazard? Will this pop a breaker? Just doesn't seem like something you should do with 110v.

Thanks for the writeup!

BTW This isnt a Tek. Its just fuckin dangerous and by putting Tek next to it it might make someone think that it is a Tek and has been used with no problem, build your Darwin machine and die.

Yeah this is extremely dangerous.. By plugging in anything to an outlet you can kill yourself.Outlet-->Electricity-->connected to metal clip-->You touch metal clip with wood (conductive)-->Your body is grounded-->electricity travels through your body.

Do not make one of these......

Learn basic circuitry before you dick around with any kind of homeade electrical devices.

Get your electrical engineering degree before you build any kind of A/C electrical devices....

u guys are right.

i was hi as a kite when i thought of that, i just dont have $109 for an impulse sealer.

Please forgives me?

I still think however a home made sealer can be made. Just the power source/heat part I'm not sure of. But I asked my dad. hes a computer science lecturer at University. He was prolly drunk, or wasn't even listening to me when he said that's how you make a heating element.

HOW DOES A SOLDERING IRON WORK, then, why would my own dad suggest something that could kill me?

:frown:

Simple heating elements work when there is heat generated whenever a voltage difference is applied across a resistive material. Key word resistive. Metal, my friend, does not have that much impedence. There are certain types of wire that are made for this purpose. Such as nicrome.

Knowing computers and knowing electrical work are two different things.

This site has them for as low as 49 dollars. Try searching the web just a little more.

Search for posts under the user name "Blackout" for a much safer method on sealing your bags at home involving an iron. Your method, aside from being incredibly dangerous wouldn't provide a wide enough seal that would hold up to PC'ing and the metal clip would likely just melt right through the bag due to the lack of "impulse" (on/off) heat.

After that last message, I would recommend therapy and/or Prozac for your personal problems. With that attitude, I definitely don't recommend tripping on shrooms.

I would love to get some Prozac. Only problem is, I'm afraid they'll try and grab me, givmme a straight jacket, and give me haloperidol instead, and some other nasty pills. But yes, I'd love some Prozac. honestly though, shrooms are spiritually healing to me, which is why I want some... everything comes together when i have them, everything just regains resonance for me...
its like a gateway into heaven on earth.
