Traffic stop leads to major drug bust By Amanda Roach Hendricks County Flyer (Avon, Ind.)
BROWN TOWNSHIP, Ind. — A traffic stop on the mile stretch of Interstate 65 that runs through Hendricks County resulted in a major drug bust for the Indiana State Police Monday morning.
When all was said and done, police had confiscated six kilograms of cocaine and $65,000 in cash.
ISP Sgt. Anthony Emery said Trooper Dennis Wade noticed a 2001 Ford Expedition speeding southbound near the 127 mile marker at about 11:30 a.m.
Anthony L. Harper, 36, of Louisville, Ky., was cited him for speeding.
Wade reported that Harper seemed to be extremely nervous, as did his passenger, Pierre L. Elliott, 35, also of Louisville. He also become suspicious of Harper’s answers to his questions.
“He felt like the driver’s story was not making sense,” Emery said.
Wade released his K-9 partner, Mojo, from the patrol car to perform an open air search of the car. Emery said Mojo immediately alerted Wade to the presence of a narcotic coming from the back seat of the car.
Realizing he was going to need some help, Wade contacted Brownsburg Police Officer Ben Pyatt for assistance.
Pyatt said he helped Wade put both Harper and Elliott in the back of his car before conducting the search of their vehicle.
“The cocaine was in a duffle bag in the back seat,” he said.
The cocaine was broken down into bricks weighed out into kilograms, Pyatt explained, adding that they also found a large sum of money in the bag.
“A kilo is $20,000 to $25,000, depending on the market,” he said.
Pyatt explained that dealers and transporters are becoming very bold in their means of transportation. He said they are becoming “so comfortable” that they are just throwing the product in the back of a car and not even trying to hide it.
Emery said the street value of one kilogram of cocaine equals about $100,000.
“It’s a nice, big seizure,” Emery said. “It’s definitely keeping it out of the hands of a lot of people down there.”
Both Harper and Elliot were arrested and charged with dealing cocaine, a class A felony; possession of cocaine, a class B felony; and dealing cocaine with a prior conviction, a class A felony. They were transported to the Hendricks County Jail in Danville where they are being held on $100,000 bond each.

Yeah I wonder who gets this stuff wrong, are the police making these dumb accusations or are the writers to blame for typos or changing it on purpose.

I am clueless about coke, very against it actually. Bu as far as the report goes maybe they mean 20-25 for 'wholesale' and if you break it up into grams or 8's or whatever you do with that stupid shit you can make up to 100 g's
buying 8 separate 8ths is WAY more expensive than just buying an oz
