Mixing coir with compost

I'm planning on spawning rye grain inoculated with PESA and Hawaiian to a bulk substrate. I know that several people have reported great success with poo/coir mixtures, but I hadn't heard anything about mixing compost with coir. I really like the sound of High Mountain compost, but I may not be able to afford to buy enough to use it on its own and was wondering if maybe mixing it 50/50 with coir and maybe some gypsum and coffee grounds would be a good idea. Any thoughts? Would adding some vermiculite help as well? For those wondering, I'm not considering manure because it would be hard to get here and I would rather not deal with something that came out of an animal's anus.

I just asked the same type things a few days ago and was told that compost is fine. whatever percent coir/compost/coffe you want is good. I always mess up on the gypsum percents so wait for someone else or look that up.

Coir and compost would be great. Mushrooms love a complex food source so really you can toss in about whatever. If you need to bulk it out abit, adding a little Verm will be fine. The verm will actually help hold some moisture in the casing.
