First try with casing *pics*

Hello everyone!
My cat is soon going to be picking the first fruits of his first attempt at casing. The six casings are made of about 3 inches of fully colonized popcorn as substrate, cased with 1 inch of 60/40 verm/coir (without pH control) and a small sprinkle of semi-dry verm at the bottom to absorb the little bit of excess moisture the popcorn had.
Fruiting chambers are two 31 liter Rubbermaid-type containers with about 2 inches of Leca on the bottom, and plenty of water (some 1") with a bit of H2O2 to keep unwanted thingies away from the water & provide some extra oxygen. The Leca seems to provide sufficient humidity, judging by the moisture on the sides of the containers, since there's no hygrometer. My cat has been misting the boxes quite sparingly, every other day or so. Should he be more active or worried about too low humidity?
The boxes have automated air exchange system (a pump), providing fresh air at regular periods 20 times a day. By rough calculation, at 240 liters/hour the air in the boxes should be completely replaced 4-5 times a day. A small fluorescent lamp is also automated to give the shroomies 7 hours of light per day.
What worries my cat a little bit is the uneven growth of the pins. While there's plenty of pins, only some shroomies seem to be growing tall and strong and must be picked quite soon. Meanwhile, there are a few aborts here and there amongst the pins.
Is there anything to worry about, or could there me something to improve so the mushies would be encouraged to grow more evenly? Any other suggestions you might have are appreciated as well!
And a big thank you to every helpful person on this forum! My cat couldn't have done this without the great advice you have been posting on this forum over the years!

Standing water in the bottom of your FC is an invite for bacteria man no matter what you put in it. Good grow though. If it works with mild to no contams go for it.

Yeah, I know standing water is always a risk, but my cat has done cake grows previously with standing water and hasn't had any contams. The evaporation is just so good with plenty of water it's worth the risk IMO. The leca is pressure cooked in the middle of the project and only boiled water is used, just to be sure.
Here's a pic of the second flush, which yielded somewhat better than the first one. Casings were dunked between flushes as they were very dry. They really seemed to enjoy the drink!
