Feeling blue, letting it out to the net

Shrooming, having one of those trips where I can't seem to find the point But then, why am I looking for a point? Sigh, thoughts are drifting too quickly to put them into cohesion.
I'll attempt something anywho...
why are we alive? what is our deal, I mean really? Every 'camp' has it's own idea. Science, religion, philosophy, whatever. Everyone is an observer of some kind. Those who listen to what is being spoken, and those who speak back, and perhaps those who try to deny the existence of said observation. Whatever, I couldn't give two shits.
The point being, what is it all coming to? What are we working for? what are we trying to achieve while we are alive. Through our children, through their children, and onward. What is humanity trying to accomplish. Is it our plan is it not our plan? The only thing we have is our own minds.
What were your parents trying to accomplish with you? Did they have anything in mind? Was it merely to love you? What will you do when you're a parent? What do you hope to accomplish? With yourself, and with your children, what are your hopes and dreams. What do they amount to? What are we all searching for?
I can't find what I'm searching for. I hope you all can.

continued... diving deeping into myself
what do you do with your time before you die? Try to keep content? What the hell is content Is that really the best we can hope for? I personally hope for better, but I'm finding it hard. Death is really a frightening thing for some, myself included. But why? Looking into the question, I can only find that I don't know what death holds, a fear of the unknown, a lack of trust in any certain direction,
I spose a fear that we didn't amount to anything while we were living, eh. Does a person worry about what happened in their life? I sure as shit don't know, and I'm not in a hurry to find out, but what if? Can a person who feels they've amounted to something in their life die happy? Is that what this amounts to? Fuck all, I'm hopeful for myself, and I'm hopeful for as many people as I can be How can hope be given, I don't really understand that, but it can. How can it be received, again I don't really get it. Is it a choice? Where does a person find energy, inspiration, joy in their life. Why do I post this out to everyone? Is it in hopes that others will feel the same? I hope not. And yet, at the same time, I hope so. Hope is a bastard.
What is everyone choosing to become? I myself am undecided, but I hope I can find something along the way. Im leaning towards, a kind hearted individual, full of bullshit for all. Why am I so jaded towards myself? Can anyone offer some insight?

Our purpose is to laugh. I also come from the school of "Good Enough" Laughter is good enough for me, thus serving my ultimate purpose of God or some shit like that, dig it?

There's no way you're gonna have definitive answers to all your questions in this lifetime. You will learn most of them after you pass on, but then, you won't be around to share that info. Different philosophies have different opinions. You have to do the research and form your own theories.

I hope I don't get the answers, as I wouldn't know what to do with them.
Thanks for the post.

I think that we're alive because we can be, nothing more complicated than that.
What we do with this life is up to us, and there really is no "right" way to do it. There is both freedom and terror in this idea, yet my best guess is that it is representative of reality.

Kickle, this is a very prominent theme of many of my mushrooms trips. I completely understand what you are talking about. Everything you said resonated with me.
Have I found the answer? No. But I suspect what Veratis said is closest to the truth.
Once you've broken yourself down and looked at all this, maybe you can work on building yourself up. Form your own philosophy on life. It will take years and years, and will never be finished, but it is a necessary thing to do if you want life to start feeling fulfilled.
I hope once you dwell on all this for a while, there is still some time for some happy shroomey goodness in your trip. Life can be a very depressing thing. It can also be hilarious. You may as well laugh at it.

well i think anyone who has taken a good dose of mushrooms has gone through this same thought process. I know i have and i have racked my brain a million times trying to figure out the meaning of life...lol The only thing i have been able to come up with is we live or life to live or life. We are no diferent really from any other living creature that has been put here... we live for survival to continue on.... So i decided to get past all of the brain breakin and decided its a simple answer... live to live! Enjoy life... Many great minds have tried to figure out this question i dont think there is really any real answer for it....
But i am also not a god fearing man so i dont look into religous questions to confuse me anymore on that subject

More modernly interpreted as "Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll."
Which is a good school of though as well.
Why can't we just live to Live and Love?

Because as soon as you start asking those kinds of questions, it becomes much more complex. And, well, if you ask me, you can't get by without the questions.

You're right. As sentient beings we feel the need for purpose. Shoot for enlightenment, peace, to create art, to spread joy.
Life is what we make of it. You may feel depressed at a lack of direction or movement within your life sometimes, especially when searching for a Great and True answer, but life is really beautiful.
It's ugly and painful sometimes but that's part of the beauty.
You couldn't enjoy the sunrise without the night. The calm without the storm.

Basically, enjoy life. Don't worry about wasting it, every moment you spend alive, do your best to enjoy it. Do what you're passionate about. That's what you're here to do.

Exactly, how would you know beauty and pleasure without ugliness and pain
