You're going to have to be a whole lot more specific than that. What level class is this? Highschool, undergrad, grad? Are you to focus on a specific kind of resource and its utilization? Whats the scope of the project? Environmental impacts? Consequences for humans and\or ecosystems?

If you can post the assignment or give me more to go on I'd be happy to help! (I've got a bachelors in Bio with environmental science minor)

Just off the top of my head for something, go look up how hundreds of acres of rainforest are flooded and destroyed to mine for aluminum, most of which is used for beverage containers that arent recycled when recycled aluminum uses 90% less energy (!) to process.

Another good one might be on invasive species in the great lakes or the mississippi. Pesticides and herbicides and fertilizers their runoff creating this giant dead zone in the gulf of mexico etc.

nice, invasive species is a great idea

project is for undergrad 2nd year, and the scope is really anything remotely related to environmental resources/issues/whatever. (it can even be people related, eg. paper on conflict resolution between mtb'ers and ATVers) its for a class that basically amounts to english for lazy people. (communications in NRES).
im in Environmental Engineering, and this is the closest to an english class i will ever have to take. :P (not that I really mind, I got ridiculously high marks in English 12 in high school.)

aaanyways, its off to the library tomarrow to look me up some journals.
(doesnt mean topic is closed, I still would love some suggestions/topic ideas)
