Ok.  Firstly just because I speak as though the mushroom has a conscience I never intend for people to take it literaly.  I thought this was the general train of thought here in P+S.  It is meant to reflect upon the experience.  I just like to speak in riddles dont you see? :hatsoff:

Does it matter if the mushroom kick your ass, or you are just fuckin yourself in the head?  Either way, somebody is losing and "I".

Also we arent talking about chems here so it doesn't matter that your buddies abuse other substances too.  I'll be willing to bet that they don't do mushrooms as often as they blow lines.

You know what tolerance is.  So naturaly, one has no reason to eat mushrooms everyday of the week because they don't work anyway.  Your brains interaction with the mushrooms chemical works in a way that it doesnt allow that sort of abuse.  There is a natural disallowance, don't you see?

Also, mushrooms cannot do any physical harm.  Therefore, like with many other drugs, you aren't turning your liver into mush.  Eating them everyday will do you no harm.  They can make a great mushroom soup if you like.  This is no abuse.

The abuse I am reffering to is overdosing and going insane on the first trip that leads to a hanus experience.  From my experience, people who abuse the mushroom in this way (eating a shitload of shrooms without any respect and preperation about dosage, setting, tripping) never want to see the likes of mushrooms again.  So either they don't do em, or they dose responsibly the next time.  No more abuse.

I don't consider weekly tripping abuse by any means.  Abuse would be going uncontrollably insane on every trip due to a lack of respect towards dosage and setting and throwing poop all over their parents walls.  I don't know anybody that shows this kind of abuse.

I still remain that my statement holds *some* truth.  Anybody that can read between the lines of what I said would understand.. dose responsibly or you won't *get* the mushroom experience for all its worth.  In all it's glory.  Full of shit statement?

*end transmission*

This is a FULL OF SHIT statement if I ever heard one. I have seen the untruth of this over and over.

I abused them and they convinced me that i was god and that trying to kill my neighbors was a good idea. Thoughts?

Yes I totally see this. It's at least a good statement for covering your ass.

I'll be willing to bet that they don't do mushrooms as often as they blow lines.

You lose, I only have one friend that blows lines and most others use shrooms as their basic medicine.

I still remain that my statement holds *some* truth.

Almost any statement holds some truth. Good job.

The Garden of Eden tale can be seen as an allegory of the psychedelic human evolution theory. So, maybe the Bible was the closest explanation we had, a couple thousand years ago. Considering the mushroom as the forbidden fruit, then, makes sense.

Word play does not go over well in here.

Things like sarcasm and riddles... unless clearly marked as such... can be EASILY misunderstood by the P&S masses.

Do your best to say what you mean.

Now that everyone has had a nice debate about this I would like to mention that if you continue to read the story about Adam & Eve that they were banished from the Garden and it was closed to them. Hence whatever the forbidden fruit was , it is no longer available to us.

If in fact you believe the story. If you don't believe the story then there is no forbidden fruit. Either way it could not be mushrooms as mushrooms are available to us.

Trying to draw connections would be proper.

The bible came from somwhere. Why are the world bibles so powerful? You have no proof as to why it would be mere fiction. I don't know for certain whether it is or it isn't. People are drawing connections because it is an attempt to examine the bibles origins, and what it actually means.

To think it is all fiction and just a good story is arrogant I think. We have no clue what went down when it was written so we can't judge it simply by a book, lets look at what exist today that can logically fit into the story and make some more sense of it for us today!

I think I could make a case against the Earth being created in six days.

I think I can show the Red Sea was not parted (there are more logical explanations for this tale).

Noah and the Ark? Come on! Again, there are more logical explanations.

The Exodous is historically questionable at best...

I could go on... but I've already made my point.

I have covered this in depth before. Short version: It was the first book published (new technology) and for many years in many places, it was the only book ALLOWED to be published.

No matter what text was printed it would have a HUGE impact.
