Mushrooms for the garden
    #7899406 - 01/18/08 09:47 PM (16 years, 14 days ago)

G'day, I'm keen to get some new garden beds established, and I would like a mixture of shrooms growing amongst the mulched veges. I'm thinking coprinus comatus, hypsizygus sp., agaricus sp., and if I can get a hold of the cultures I'ld love to try Stropharia rugoso-annulata and Lepista nuda. Any other suggestions? Anyone have experience matching plants and shrooms?

Here are some pics of hypsizygus ulmarius logs that I recently placed in my garden. I have found that the mycelium has run all throughout the soil under the base of the logs (though I do have much decomposed organic matter therein). I also inoculated the pile with coprinus comatus this past year but haven't seen any come up yet.

That's a nice website you've got there Bailey! One of these days I'ld like to set-up an aussie version. Keep up the good work.
