The Creamy Colored Anomolly

I originally posted this in off-topic cause I wasn't actually sure that mushroom cultivation would be what I'd be doing. Anyway, I have this thing that looks like an expensive desert and smells like shit dipped in vomit. I decided, after being told it might be, that it's a mycellium cake or something. I was then told that I should build a small terrarium and spray it with h2o2 and h2o.
What is h2o2 and how the sex do I build a terrarium? Anyone direct me to somewhere good?

Well, it just doesn't smell 'pleasant'. I'm hoping its a smell that goes with a taste I'm going to get used to. It's just in a simple, generic, rectangular plastic container. I got it off a good friend of mine who gave me some mushrooms a few weeks ago. He told me to soak it in water for twenty four hours, so I did that, and then to fan it with the lid of said plastic container. I've been doing that ocassionally. Other than that, I've really got no idea what it is. Like most of the time, I was in another place when he was telling me the finer details. He said something about wheat... w-w-wheat?

I phoned him tonight and he said that I'm waiting for tiny, stick-like growths to appear on it. He said that it requires humidity and I'm fanning it because it needs to have air circulating.
Seeing as a friend of a friend of mine is 'borrowing' my camera I'll try and describe what it looks like: It's a very light cream color with darker brown patches and spots dotting its sides. It's pretty lumpy. To touch, it feels a little like play-dough, when I sort of stroke it. If I try and press on it more, it's sort of squidgy but sort of hard. It feels like there are rocks or sticks inside it from putting pressure on the top. Maybe that's those emerging 'stick' things I'm looking for?

No, it doesn't really smell like vomit. I was just using an exagerrated similie to exemplify that the smell was not good. Does anyone else think it's funny that I ended that sentence in 'good'?
Anyway, if it is a casing, can someone direct me to where I might be able to find out how to take care of said casing, or, what exactly a casing is?

Try The Shroomery
On a serious side, a few points
Don't touch the casing (if thats what it is) Keep in humid container Wait for "pins" (those sticks) If pins do not appear after a while, place in refridgerator for a night and then take out and wait for a while.
Other than fan it every now and again, don't do anything.

Thanks... *stops touching it* I know 'The Shroomery', why else would I be here... but that's the reason I'm on the forums, cause I don't actually know what it is I'm supposed to be looking for... I suppose now I could probably figure it out, using the information I've got, but I'm too lazy and ignorant. I need information handed to me. Sorry, I'll go look, now...
