american politics
    #7897067 - 01/18/08 11:31 AM (16 years, 14 days ago)

Whenever I hear americans express an opinion on anything political I stop listening. Not saying they can't be good people, but they are seriously the most annoying people to listen to. I know a lot of people here are americans, and I enjoy the site, but I stay away from the political stuff here for the same reason. There are lots of other people I ignore, but I have to say, they are right up there. I can't blame them really, it's not their fault they grew up in such a screwed up country. Sorry everybody, I'm a bigot.

Then why did you bring it up?

I find it interesting and sometimes somewhat annoying that everyone puts all Americans in the same group when it comes to politics. Alot of Americans disagree with each other. My political views are very different from some of my friends.

OP is a jackass.

Hey moron, anytime you hear an American espouse a political opinion, remember that 50% of the country disagrees with him.

We aren't homogenized.

Like milk.

Also, our political system is kind of out of control.

We're smart people, but circumstances are pretty FUBAR at the moment.

Ha canada, the country that was too pussy to create itself. They had to be HANDED power by the British. It's no wonder why the world will never take that country or its citizens seriously, I mean seriously, how much of a bitch do you have to be to ask the British to give you power. 'scuuse me mr. british, umm me and my friends, ya know we was wonderin, like, do you think we might have a bit a power guvna'?

:rofl2:
It's equally hilarious and sad how many people take this simplistic view of Abe Lincoln and the Civil War, who, while he did free the slaves, also wasn't above throwing around the word nigger quite frequently.  He's also on record as saying that if he could have kept the union whole and left every single slave in bondage he would have.  The Emancipation Proclamation was half a propaganda move, and half a move to simply stir up shit in the south.

What does the country have to do with anything, Anything political tends to be boring when it comes from the mouths of douche bags like Bush. However yours or anyone else's countries governments are all annoying and retarded just the same. You really should listen to what the US has to say seeing as how we dip our hands in everyones pockets.
